Description

My first case mod i made. It was made from 1/10 RC car which was stripped down to be used for case. Hope you like it.

This PC is completed but design of it is not. I'm working on new (better) one. The upgrade i'm doing is adding water cooling and aluminium bottom (Now is original plastic) and also some upgrade to where parts are (moving motherboard back so all inputs are on back side).

You can find me here:

About temperatures: GPU temps are OK, CPU temps were bad when i had windows in (check image with RedBull in it (Not sponsored)), so now that i removed that they are good, could be lover though bot not problematic. Only thing that I really don't like is temperature of m.2 SSD which is on back side of motherboard and when CPU is doing lots of work, SSD temp gets to 50°C because there is no airflow under motherboard. That will all be fixed with new case that i'm making :D

EDIT I got featured, wohooo Whoa guys, didn't thought that my case really had change to get featured, but you guys did it. Case is not professional as it could be, but your response was still great. Hope i motivated some into making their own cases, because i would love to see more cases like this and truth to be told it's not that hard to do. BTW i love this tank build, go and check that out so we get that featured too ;)

Thanks you very much. Looking at all great responses really gives me motivation to do new one and do it fast. Also thanks for all suggestions, will keep them in mind :)

This is actually all Aventador. I can see the confisuion, because the Aventador is very similar to the Reventon but the Reventon sides are much more agressive and "jet engine" like

FEATURE THIS SH1T. Sweet little setup! I love the fan under the hood. Nice job. It does feel a bit "Delorian-ish" due to the GPU on the back, but that is not even bad. It makes me feel happy. I like it, good stuff!

  • 1 point

It's still long way to final product i want, but i'm happy with how it come out for first one. Also boxy look of GPU will be fixed by moving it lover inside case and adding openable trunk

And when that's done, then i need to figure out how to make a DeLorean one :D soo many people want to see that

And that GTX 970 peeking out of the rear..... MY GOD IT LOOKS LIKE A FRIGGIN' JET ENGINE ON AN AVENTADOR. The more I look at the images, the cooler it looks, and I get harder every time I see it.

When you make the revision of this build, try to find a bigger RC car.

  • Keep all of the good stuff inside - just try to find space for it in the nose or something.
  • But, get a better, bigger battery. Like a laptop battery.
  • Get the world's longest HDMI or DisplayPort cable
  • Drive your PC around in real life while driving around a matte black Aventador in Forza Horizon 3.

Ken Block it.

If you won't do it, I will. =D

Enjoy! =D

How did you mount the GPU? Can you please give me the link to the part? Or was this a custom extension? Either way I NEED TO KNOW! It's SO LOW PROFILE!!!

  • 2 points

It's the expensive PCI-e extender cable, only made by 3M this one.

I bought bunch of cables before this one, but each of them failed if it folded cable 90/180° to fit it in, but with this cable everything works perfectly. If you find cheaper and same quality let me know ;)

Thought about it, but so far no ITX motherboard (or could be now, didn't check for a while) has directly connector for RGB strip and there is not really much space to add RGB controller box/cables in it. Will see how much space will have in next build, might add it ;)

Did you design this yourself? If so how much did it cost you??

  • 1 point

Well i bought the RC car, but everything from there was my work. Well if I don't count all stuff i bought and didn't fit/work for this then around 250 (100€ PCI-e cable, around 100 for car + some small stuff) for the case and then couple h of work :)

Maybe if you put your computer in a Bugatti next time, the extra horsepower will give it more FPS. Very sexy build though.

Why didn't you go for a 1050ti or 1060? They go for less than the 970 you have and have similar performance.

I build this a couple months ago, when 1070 mini wasn't out yet, just didn't post pictures of it anywhere until someone suggested me to post this here :). Will use Gigabyte 1070 Mini in next build.

Same car (because now i know limitations of it), but with some position changes and watercooling + better looking overall (more finished/profesional). And if that will be a sucess then i guess i'll make DeLorean, since lots of people wants to see that :D

Chuck Norris's Ferrari Enzo vs. Haackas's Lamborghini Aventador.

Fight!

* SSBB theme plays *
  • 2 points

You lost the race, 412 votes on the Lamborghini and 399 votes on your MSI Ferrari... :P

Its all good, great builds from both of you! :D

  • 1 point

Yes, but in real life the Enzo is older, and so is a bit slower than the Aventador. Jipster's Enzo was posted before the PC Aventador, so it's prototypical.

=D

Unless it was a tie!

Then it would be 12

But 12 = 1...

Meanwhile, both cars jump over train tracks, flying over a small group of random protestors.

But who's counting :D Both builds are awesome so i say we both win ;) cheers ;)

GPU temps are OK, CPU temps were bad when i had windows in (check image with RedBull in it (Not sponsored)), so now that i removed that they are good, could be lover though bot not problematic. Only thing that I really don't like is temperature of m.2 SSD which is on back side of motherboard and when CPU is doing lots of work, SSD temp gets to 50°C because there is no airflow under motherboard. That will all be fixed with new case that i'm making :D
