Description

After 4 months of researching and obsessing, I finally finished it! I really like it, and it was a ton of fun building. I already got the CPU to 4.3ghz stable. I got all these parts on cyber monday, so the prices below are INCORRECT! I got the cpu for $170, hyper 212 for $15, UD3 for $80, ram for $30, HDD for $50, 7850 for $150, case for $20, PSU for $50, TX4 for $12, and the dvd drive for $20. I was extremely happy I got it for under $600.

The case was pretty hard to manage the cables in, due to the extremely small space behind the motherboard, but for a mid tower and 3 fans for $20, I can't argue with it. I might replace the fans tho, because one of them makes a weird rattling sound, but I on't really mind it. I just think it might not be at it's full potential.

Please tell me anything! I would love to hear things to change, for the future!

EPIC! Another young builder. I envy that mobo...

Thanks! The mobo is AWESOME! I really didn't see a huge difference between the UD3 and UD3H, and it was also $70 cheaper!

For $600 this is a fantastic build, way to plan and snag these parts at their lowest price. Wish I had that kind of patience!

I run online games through steam, except games that are limited, like BF3 to Ea, and all the other games that don't run through the internet, I get through gamestop.

You have done really well with this for the price, a decent overclock, i think the only thing i would add is a nice SSD otherwise this build is great, oh new case when you can be bothered :)

Thanks! I would love a SSD, but I'm saving for a good keyboard and mouse, because the ones I have now suck. And yeah, I new case is going to probably be one of the most important upgrades for me.

what is wrong with his case? im doing a build and this is the case i was looking at, should i keep looking?

"The case was pretty hard to manage the cables in, due to the extremely small space behind the motherboard"

Personally yes keep looking find a case with more space behind the motherboard for routing. The thing with cases is if you ever make a new build you are probably going to reuse a case, buy a decent case if you can.

I envy you! I am also 13 and also recently built a PC, but I had to finance it myself, for about $370. It's nice to know I'm not a complete oddity at my age, but I wish I had that amount of dough.

Oh, I had to save for 3 years of christmas and birthday money. I took a long time, but was SO worth it!

Nice job, dude! I'm 13 as well and I built a build nearly IDENTICAL to this! However, my grandpa chipped in as an early Christmas present and I snagged the 7970. I have the same motherboard, processor and RAM though. Built it last month. Nice to meet another young builder.

I get about 45-50 at the lowest on BF3 Ultra without AA, 30s and 40s with AA. And thanks!

Haha, this reminds me of when I was 13 and assembled my first computer! Only difference is... that was back in the SDRAM & PATA days, haha! Nice build, and good job doing research!

I was just testing out the fan controller at that time, it's always on.
