Description

After building my first build last year I immediately wanted to make another (I'm sure you know the feeling), so I did. Here's my second build changing everything I regretted about my first. You may notice the extra stick of RAM which I transplanted from my first rig. I know three sticks is isn't really recommended but there's no noticeable difference in terms of performance for me so why not. Moving on, my original PC was quite the eyesore (those msi gpus don't match with anything) so I focused a lot more on color coordination for this one. On the topic of gpus, The it was tricky to find one that fit in this case with a front-mounted rad, while this is a mid tower case it's not awfully roomy. The power supply also barely fit, it was supposedly incompatible but I made it work, although I'll have to pull the PSU out a bit if I need to get at the cables. Cable management in this case is a breeze and while I did get cable combs, I think I like the bundled look better. Anyway, that's pretty much it for my building experience.

So I use this mostly for gaming and, well that's about it. Haven't bothered doing any real benchmarks but I'm not worried, performance is great. I get over 100 fps in most games at 1080p, and 144 in the less intensive stuff.

Welp, not much else to say other than: for the love of god can we get a universal RGB app please!

I like that purple. The color really pops in the dark photos.

Curious, are you only using 3 sticks of ram because 4 wouldn't fit with the Kraken hose being in the way? I'm having that problem so I only have 2 sticks right now, nearly same setup as you.

I love the look of this case but I've read a lot about high temps from everything being so crammed together. How have your CPU/GPU temps been so far?

I love your build so much! In fact, I’m now looking at doing a build almost exactly like this. But, I’m considering doing a top mount rad. Did you test to see if the rad would fit the top, or was it obvious ram clearance would be an issue?

My rad was too big, 240 is the max I think. There's a new meshify case which I think is a bit bigger

Ahh I see. I might do a front mount then. Any noticeable heat spread from the rad to the GPU? That fitment looks good but makes me nervous lol

I haven't noticed, although they are very close together and would probably go top mount if I could. That would leave more room for a longer gpu as well.

Thanks for the info! I'll definitely keep this in mind.

16 GB is kind of the standard for high end gaming nowadays. You're right that it's probably not necessary, but if you have the money, why not? It will also allow him to stream and stuff if he ever wants to.
