Description

First step toward a custom water cooling loop was to switch over to the Fractal Design Define S. Needed a ATX mobo so I picked up the Asus Maximus VIII Formula.

Any recommendations on what colour to make the loop? Was thinking white and adding some LEDs to the case. Suggestions welcome!

The Formula is the one with the built in EKWB motherboard block right? Since your fans are red, unless you can turn off the fan LED's and only use LED lighting, I actually think a Green and Black theme would look really cool :D

If you were to add another card, how much air space would you have available between the two? I'm planning to use this board but with two way sli (evga 980 ti kingpin)

Looks to be 1 PCIE slot of space between 2 cards (assuming the cards are 2 PCIE slots thick).

I just got the Z370 Maximus Code. It’s almost an identical layout. My question is, How did you get your USB3.0 cable into the USB3.1 port on the motherboard in the define s? Where the rubber grommets are, it doesn’t line up right. Thanks in advance

Never mind it is a little different. The USB port is lower on Z370 :(
