Description

Running dual-boot LinuxMint / Win8 + most programs off the SSD which works fine even with only 120GB.. Obviously boots very fast. OC'd 4.5Ghz stable quite easily without much heat, especially compared to stock CPU cooler. Don't care what people say about future-proofing, I did a bit with this build with the 16GBs RAM/750w PSU etc (mainly because of big sales at time of purchase). I can SLI my 660 down the road no big deal as they are quite efficient SLI cards, with good Linux support.

Not doing much gaming on it thus far, been busy with work and waiting for the newer games to come out like BF4; in transition between console and PC gaming at the moment. I do play plenty of Civ5 though.

Just bought a nice + cheap ($25) Asus soundcard with a built-in headphone amp, outlook; AMAZING. Pushes my midranged Sennheisers very nicely and the improved s/n was immediately noticeable, even at only 105db.

Edit: No longer running Linux on it, OC'ed to 4.6Ghz on air: 24hrs prime stable and has been running very smoothly for months.

Needs a description and some extra photos. As it sits, you purchased Win8 pro and 16GB of ram for a build titled "Gaming Build" neither of which will benefit you in gaming at all. The extra could have gone toward a nice GFX card. Same with the 750w PSU. A 500w for a significantly lower dollar amount, more money to spend on a nicer GPU.

Some description added, I only posted this for myself not thinking anyone was going to be reading/critiquing.

If i find I need more GPU power down the road I'll SLI, the price of the 750 wasn't much more than the quality 5 or 600w PSUs at the time. 16GB RAM only ran me 88 bucks, still go for $130 normally.

Don't really get all the down votes, can't see much from those photos for sure, but the build will do well for gaming, though I would change a little bit around the edges, particularly with the graphics cards, could cut some corners on the ram and PSU for a better 770 perhaps.

This may be true, but I only spent about +$20 for 2x the RAM, got like 20% off the PSU and I don't need more GPU power than the 660 for the time being. If I need it down the road I'll add another 660 as they are efficient SLI cards.

That's very true, I have the same RAM set so, can't complain there. Since i now see where you were going with this, good build. Couldnt tell from before

I'd have to agree with some of these guys. Lack of pics is def a deal breaker. People wanna see your work and hear about why you chose these particular parts. It doesn't look like you shopped around very well (no offense). Few more bucks would have got a better SSD. Could have got better quality RAM and cut to 8MB for same price. GTX 760 is going for the same as that 660. Just my opinion.. No description means we don't know what its for and why you went with what.

Edited/added some things for the aid of viewers.

GTX760 goes for no less than $250 as of today, let alone 6 months ago. SSD was by far the best price to performance drive available to me on the day of purchase, got a great deal on just about everything and I'm very happy with my build.

Do you have benchmarks on your SSD for comparison? ;)

No lol. You can find bench tests for my SSD all over the internet. I couldn't find one for yours. You go through the trouble of benching yours and I'll download the software to bench mine.

Lol @ the downvotes. I'd like to point out that I live in Canada where electronic prices are always more than down in the States. I did quite a bit of research and at the time of purchase for almost all the parts (over half a year ago) I think I did very well for myself.
