Description

The perfect little ITX build, quick, nimble, super quiet and pretty quick in all fairness. Might not live upto the Next Gen PS4 and Xbox One but for something in between those and there older brothers its a pretty decent build. Plus don't care what anyone says, those who know will agree even on lower resolution but higher graphical quality know that games will look better on PC than either a PS4 or Xbox One.

Running Windows 8.1, anyone who slates OS as rubbish, this PC is 10% quicker in most benchmarks on this OS than running Windows 7.

Its setup in Dual Graphics with R7 250, did this just to test the water and see how good it was. Not overclocked as heat is an issue as this case has no intake fans. Runs pretty cool idles at 31 and never exceeds 65 ever when in full use. Games play great, but what makes the difference is running at lowest RPM on TX3 and this thing is silent, have wired up the F8 fans to CPU header so they work together.

Thanks :) its just so nice to not have fan boys all over saying you could of gotten an i3 for less. Took a gamble and these chips are actually pretty quick in everyday use.

Cheers for all positives guys, much appreciated. Overall, would highly recommend an APU. Perfect all round PC, fast and quiet. But options thee for OC if you choose. And with these now £10 less there are a decent bargain.

Windows 8 is lighter then Windows 7 nobody hates Windows 8 because it is slower then Windows 7. Windows 8 sucks because the design choices that went into it are nonsensical and have no place on a desktop pc.

I Agree. Windows 8 Is AMAZING on my laptop, but on my pc the "homescreen" seems so out of place for some reason. The only thing i dont agree on is the bad design choices. i kinda like it.

Lets go switch to windows 9 now! i hear its so much better!

I managed to get this board (took advantage and bought 3 of them) from Amazon when they mislisted them as a different item and very cheap price. Its a really nice PC and case is a bargain at £45 compared to others in same ITX category

Great build; what - if any - is the perceived frame variance/stuttering in games like BF4 and Bioshock: Infinite?

Slick looking build, and a decent part list. I would not say this ting cannot keep up with the Xbox one and PS4 just yet, they normally run games at 30FPS on 720 (some games do go to 1080) so they are not as powerful as most people give them credit for. A lot of people hate win8, I think its mostly those who hate change. I run it my self and its must faster then window 7. Great build overall +1.

I'm on the verge of buying one of these cases for my build. I see there are only 2 usb ports. Is that right? How do you manage?

The case has 1 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 2.0. Motherboard has a couple of each but never bothered me as I use powered Hub anyhow. Both my Monitor and my Keyboard have powered Hub built into them, so much nicer to only have maximum of 3 cables in back of PC, tidier that way.

You should really use a powered hub anyhow if using mobile phone to charge as some can damage USB ports

I see now. Thanks. My question was naive, I didn't consider extra ports on the motherboard itself. Thanks for the help, as you may gather I haven't previously built a PC.

Does the ASRock FM2A78M-ITX+ have WiFi in it?

No no wireless on-board with this one or capabilities fo rone except typical standard USB 2.0/3.0 versions.

If you were wanting asrock brand then they only one they do in this form factor with Wifi onboard is an FM2A88X-ITX+

Nice clean build!

I just finished a similar build using this case. Are you able to fit the HDD bay in with this fan? Does this fan require you to remove the motherboard to mount?

Did you get this build running at DDR3-2400? My A10-7890K chokes on 2400, but runs fine at 2133. I tried the A10-7870K too.
