Description

I have been wanting to build a pc for the last few years. This was my first ever pc build. I fell in love with the case as soon as I saw it and I knew that this was the case to build it in. I built this pc to be my do it all. Overall for my first time I feel like everything went pretty smoothly. I have everything still at stock clocks until I learn more about overclocking.

The only issues that I first ran into was with the kraken and my original ram that I purchased the Corsair Dominator Platinum. The dominator was too tall so I had to change it to Corsair white Vengeance LPX low profile ram. Other than that hiccup everything else went well.

For the components I decided to go with a 6700k which I will eventually overclock. The motherboard I chose the Asus Z170 deluxe because I wanted to have a white themed build. For the gpu I went with the EVGA GTX 1080 FTW and combined with the ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q games looks awesome. For the keyboard I went with a Corsair K70 Lux with cherry mx brown switches. They feel very nice and not too loud much better than the non mechanical keyboards I have always used. I also have the Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum mouse.

For my first time build I really enjoyed building this pc and excited to get to learn more about overclocking and getting the most potential out of this. Im glad I decided to build this pc as opposed to just buying one and for sure will be building my own pcs in the future.

Just got a Blackwidow Chroma and quickly returned it for the Corsair Straffe RGB. Keys feel so much better with Cherry MX reds over the Razor greens. More lighting options and better build quality. Check it out.

Thats an insane price. Should be less than the chroma. Both should be about $140. Frys has them for that much. I only pay attention to the prices of things that are shipped and sold by Newegg. Third party vendors tend to have insane prices. http://www.frys.com/product/8663460?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
