Unlike my old rig, this will be a single completed build that is kept up-to-date.
NOW WITH CRAPPY PHONE PICTURES!
The Foundry is my new gaming/hobbyist build on the new Ryzen architecture, built on money acquired from crypto trading, plus some shoebox cash. Runs anything I throw at it like a dream, much better than the previous FX-6300 and GTX 1060 (Although it wasn't terrible). Originally slated to be a ~800-900 dollar budget rig, my Litecoin holdings mooned, and I felt like going all-out. I went from a planned no-RGB 1060 build to a lightshow with a 1080. It runs any program like a dream, and looks like it too at 2k 144hz.
It should be noted that I took GPU idle temps with the fan off. If I turned on the fan at full on idle, I'm sure it could hit 20.
Top quality CPU. Absolutely amazing for the price if you need a CPU for work and gaming, fast enough to run my 1080 easily. 10/10 AMD!
Pretty decent mobo with a good BIOS. I'd give it 5, but the RGB software doesn't run correctly on Windows 7, so I have to use the BIOS to change RGB. Lighting does look nice though, not too much or too little.
It's RAM. It glows. Control software is intuitive and easy to use, and the multiple LEDs per stick allow very interesting combos.
Managed to nab one of these before the 1000 dollar ETH boom, and boy, am I glad. Beautiful card with good control software, runs everything from Dwarf Fortress to Skyrim to ARK at maximum, sometimes at High if I want that 144 fps. Awesome card at a good price (at least when I bought it XP)
Wow. If I could add a 6 star review I could. What a dream to work in. All important screws are captive, so no losing parts, generous management area with a nice shroud, spots for radiators, extra HDDs, whatever you need, all while giving you a beautiful look at your PC and amazing airflow. 11/10 Fractal, awesome job.
It hasn't broken, and fuels the computer nicely. I haven't checked the power draw, but it's certified gold so ¯\_(?)_/¯
Nice monitor, it's thin, has a removable base, and 2 axes of rotation. 144hz is a big jump from 60, and you WILL see the difference. It's a bit like a mechanical keyboard, you think right after testing it out: "Why the hell did I waste money on this?", but after a week you can't live without it. Good monitor, good price. It has G-Sync too.
