Used as a daily driver + light gaming (mainly emulation)
RAM is too tall to fit in A1 slot.
Had some problems with RAM compatibility with a motherboard.
Why buy all of this if you're just going to be playing emulators?
I'd guess the option for other games....
Just in case they need a bit more in the future. Rather have it then not need it, then need it and not have it.
Well I mean, I thought that was obvious.
I really have to commend his choice of PSU. You see so many new builders cheap out on the PSU.
Also what were the problems with the RAM & mobo? Other than it being too tall of course (heat spreaders don't do anything productive, so i usually don't use ram sticks with them, but i digress). I thought they would be compatible with each other though, at least.
i dont know actualy.. the DRAM_LED was solid red and the pc wasnt booting up (the MemOK button didnt fix it)
it fixed itself over night so i never discovered the problem ...
also .. what PSU would you reccomend in this build ? (i dont know much about PSUs)
Ah, well that's good.
And no, I was praising your choice of psu lol
oh oops didn't notice :)
Probably for silence and a bit of why not?
I like most of your part list. I'm only wondering as to why you bought an i5 k version but you get an GTX 750Ti with it. Why is it not paired with a GTX 960 or higher? Or why not a R9 280 or above? Yes, you did mention you play light gaming but it's also your daily driver. I'm only curious on the decisions... since I would have done something different with this price range. If it was to prepare for some future upgrades, then I would understand.
i live in Slovenia so my prices were quite different .. also not so many parts are available here :/ (for reasonable prices)
This makes more sense then.
