Description

My first PC Build, wanted to get the best that I could afford, might have gone a little overboard but I'm loving every bit of this build.

Upgraded:

Two RX 480's to a single GTX 1080 Zotac

Razer BlackWidow Keyboard to a Corsair Strafe RGB

Thank you for not skimping out on the power supply. I see it all the time and it kills me inside. P2 IS THE BEEZ KNEEZ! Nice rig.

i think you are one of the few members here who have CF RX 480s

what game were you playing with the GPUs?

it might be the lack of CF profiles for those game hampering the power of the dual RX480s

in Heaven and 3DMark and Games like Crysis 3

the dual RX480s perform as expected

I was playing Arma 3, Rainbow Six Siege, Subnautica, The Forest etc. Not really sure what is happening but my primary can hit 60° C while my secondary will max out at 40° C. I've never crossfired before nor have I owned an actual gaming rig like this, so I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that, but I'm not worried about it, games run great and feels really cool inside the case under load.

seems about right

your 2nd GPU is almost idle here

but your primary GPU temps isnt high as many reviews shows

may temps before the GPU throttles is at 83 degrees

so i guess your games are more CPU bound because Arma 3 is one heck of a CPU intensive game

This is normal behavior for Crossfire and SLI. The top card will be used as the primary display, and secondary card will only do a little bit of work. Although if you play some DX12 enabled games, the async rendering will make more use of your second card. You should look up a list of those games and see if you own any of them so you can do more testing.

I've got a single RX480 and have been contemplating a second one for a while now, so I'm curious if you think it's really worth it. Cheers!

If you're serious about donating what you botched, I, for one, do not mind crappy paint jobs, nor finding components I lack. I'm an artist actually, so I might even be able to fix it. And if you aren't serious, well, that's fine too.

Oh and you have an amazing build here, I love it. +1

On the other hand, I'm sure r/hardwareswap would accept it, and you'd get some pocket change to boot.

If your are using dx12 on win10 both cards should share the load better.

Would mount radiator with hose at other end.
