Description

Put together in 2 weeks. Always wanted to do a Mini-iTX build.

CPU - Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Bought from frys when they had a daily coupon. Super fast!! Power on to desktop in around 4s flat

Cooler Master RR-HT2-28PK-R1 54.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing Nic cooler for the price. Have raised a request in CM site to see if I can get another 92mm to make it a push pull config. Lets see

ASRock Z97E-ITX/ac Mini ITX LGA1150 Nice little mobo. Has all the bells and whistles I needed. Nicely laid out.

PNY 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Wanted something faster than 1600 to go with Z97 mobo. So far so good

Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" SSD Bought from ebay with a$15 off fathers day coupon. Hopefully this evo would be better than the 840 evo with the firmware bugs

EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Bought from new egg with discover incase prices fall :). Might be overkill for my rig but wanted decent future proof. Always wanted to buy a top of the line GPU. My previous best was the 9600GT :P

Thermaltake Core V1 Mini ITX Tower Gem of a case for the price with good cooling, options for cable management. Enjoyed building it

EVGA 550W G2 Fully modular. nice and quiet

Noctua NF-F12 PWM 55.0 CFM 120mm This thing oozes quality. Absolutely beautiful and silent. No wonder this is twice as expensive compared to other fans. Using a PWM splitter for running these fans.

Dell P2314H 23.0" Bought from Dell outlet. No complaints yet

Audio Running from optical out ->Audio GD NFB 11->Sennheiser HD 650 :)

Need to run some benchmarks now. CPU temp seems a bit higher compared to other builds. Considering this thing is surviving in the Arizona heat (Phoenix), happy with idle temp as of now. Will add more details later

How are you finding the mobo? Have you OCed with it or used the M.2 Slot? The graphics card looks like a tight squeeze. Nice job on that.

It's pretty good. I tried overclocking to 4.2ghz without any fuss.. Haven't faced any issues so far. I haven't used the m2 slot yet. Graphics card is a tight fit. Depending on the location of power connector you might face an issue. Recommend to connect the power before putting the card in place

I was wondering what drive bays were removed when you added the 980 in, Is there enough room for 2 3. 5 hdd

There is room for 2 3.5" hdd. Hdds are on the opposite side of the gpu. No need to remove any hdds. And yeah its a moisture absorbing packet there :-p

hey, nice build, that 980 looks super tight in there i'm looking at getting the MSI GeForce GTX 980 4GD5T OC to fit in this case according to the specs it will just squeeze in length ways but im unsure of the height do you think it will fit?
