Description

Uhh...It all started when I found a GTX 980ti used for $440. I had a gtx 970, that I sold soon after acquiring this beauty. I then put the card in my tiny silverstone SG13 case which you can see in the pictures, I also had an h81 motherboard and i5 4460 processor. Of course the processor was a bit of a bottleneck, sometimes...it actually held up really well. Then my wandering eyes saw a i5 4690k on craigslist for $120 and I had to buy it. I also bought my Parvum case from the same guy for just $80...which is a steal!

Motherboard: Well, it was one of the only Z97 mini itx boards I could find brand new and under $200. Besides the AsRock one, which had horrible reviews. There where tons of used ones that where selling for $200+ on ebay..no way. Processor: Nothing special, over clocked to 4.4 and temps stay under 64C during load.

Ram: I had it from the previous build; its blue, but its ram.

-The H55 was also from my previous build.

I really wanted to do water cooling, but man its so expensive. Thats when I found the Corsair HG10 N980, and my life was changed forever. Jk..I strapped the H55 cooler to it and it has done wonders to my Temps. Before my GPU ran at 80C stock and around 70Cwith aggressive fan curve. That was not good enough, and it was really loud. My Temps now sit at 23C idle and Max out around 56C after a couple hours.

Case: Love this case, it big, great layout, and its really fun to put together. I'm not too keen about the Gpu slouch...

Sorry about the photos, they are not that good.. and kinda of an afterthought.

i'm worried about the motherboard, the choke temps must get pretty high

Sorry, I'm not too familiar with that...are you referring the increase in voltage? And it only being a 4 phase?

the cooling on those is non existent, the CPU temp isn't the only thing that matters

Ok, should I get some mini heat sinks? Or just lower the voltage and overclock?

I'd lower the voltage and overclock
