Description

Long story short, its my First pc build. Could I have gotten more out of this? Yes. But I'm glad I got what I got bc I learned from my mistakes and still am very happy with the outcome.

What a great looking build first off. I was looking at that same mobo, ram, and GPU. They look great all put together. I can't wait to get mine. What color do you keep the x61 on?

I keep it on a light blue and pink switch off. Youll absolutely love all three of them.

This is the usb header. I recommend getting it because atm im ok with not useing the front usb 2.0 bc i still have the 3.0 but the expansion comes with internal 2.0 ports so you can put a micro bluetooth, and wifi receiver inside and free up the usb space on the outside. thats what im gonna do around christmas that is bc i just build it and kinda wanna let it sit for a bit. oh yea heres a link for the gpu cover too. Its said to lower the gpu tempt by 2 degrees but idk how accurate it is. im getting it for looks and protection. Where would be the best/cleanest place to put the NZXT USB header? Maybe in the back by the cables or in a drive cage?

without having one to really get a hands on experience i would say yes on the back by the cables but im curious if i could put it where the 5.25 drive bay is and make it look clean. ill most likely put it in the back with the cords though.

How's the monitor?

Its very very good. H1z1 runs at 55-80 fps (granite its a 60hz monitor) but im using a single card at ultra settings. and seeing as the card was on sale for 960$ it was a steal. games look great wide screen to the point where i feel like i have an advantage. if you plan on getting one soon i recommend it, but if you wait acer has a model with gsync and 75hz coming out in sept for 1300$. I personally prefer lg over acer due to history, and its another 400$ which in my case could go to the asus mg279q lol. but all in all i love it.

I know this is quite an old comment, but looking back 4K at Ultra setting for 960$ and only getting about 55-80 fps was a steal back then is quite amazing, because now the GTX 1080 is 500$ and you get better performance to price ratio. It's quite astonishing how far we've come and how quickly the GPU industry is advancing.

no the monitor was 960 not the card, the card was 580$ when it came out lol, sorry for that.
