Nice build, love the colors! I will say isn't 75.0C a bit toasty for the gpu... X )
Thanks! I thought 75c was pretty average but your questions got me to thinking. I switched the fan on the radiator to push out turned up GPU fan speed in MSI afterburner. I'm now at 63-65c. (Testing on Jedi Fallen Order). So thanks for the questions. However, the real impact of your question has me convinced I'm going to liquid cool the GPU.
Yeah, Afterburner is super helpful, I would keep the temps in the 40s-60s range... would be a max. Anything above 65 could potentially be damaging over time. Are you overclocking the GPU? Those temps seem to indicate that. :)
This vid shows the basic components I'm going to use, but it also talks about the 75c being fine and normal for the RTX 20?? cards. I'm still liquid cooling though. I'll get lower temps and a lot less noise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rw5sOCEDD14
No, I'm not overclocking, but the Founder's Edition of the card is overclocked and runs a bit hotter from what I've come to understand. I'm going to get the NZXT G-12 and the Kraken x42 and liquid cool it.
That's a cool idea to liquid cool it! Can't hurt! I do see that now, lots of people report higher temps with RTX cards ( I mean, they are way more powerful than GTX) So..maybe they are manufactured to handle the higher temps...still, I would say being proactive about it and doing the liquid cooling is a good choice though! Give you a little more peace of mind! :)
awesome build, what fans did you use please?
Thank you! The front LED fans come stock with the NZXT H510 Elite case: https://www.nzxt.com/products/h510-elite-matte-white
I like the look of it. Cool build.
