Built this to push my Vive and also because I'm addicted to building pcs. Now that I've built everyone in the house a pc I must be done surely... oh wait, a htpc would be nice. Uhhhg this addiction is going to break me. I spend a lot of time every day researching hardware and looking out for deals so I put what I paid for each part. Some parts included MIRs but since I received all the rebates already I had the price reflect that. I started building this back in February and finished in late march and then sat on the build waiting for the new gpus to come out. Well finally the waiting is over and I'm really happy with the final result. Pushed the system hard and tweaked it the first weekend I got my gpu and spent the whole weekend dialing in my 3dmark scores, but under details I'm going to list my every day speeds and not my extreme benchmarking speeds. Did a few mods, painted backplate and ssd, I also added some white tape to the ballistix ram because they're open topped. The ram is my only regret, now that Ive really got into pushing the hardware I realize that 2 sticks of ram is better than 4 when you can get away with it because theres 1/2 the chance of getting a slow stick. I was able to tighten up the latency decent enough but only got 100mhz oc on them. I also OCed the monitor to 96 hz and painted the bezel which came out pretty nice. Have you ever seen a mini-fridge at a rave?
