Description

This is my first build. I am a complete noob. I am trying to move away from console gaming and get back the old days. I wanted something for gaming and maybe a little video/photo editing. I will be extending the storage the SSD was to get me going. I haven’t overclocked the cpu yet but I elected to go with the aio water cooler which was $29.99 on prime day. Any sort of benchmark suggestions would be great. Also the RGB fans are the super cheap upHere fans on Amazon. I have 2 intake fans connected to the mobo and the 3 RGB ones are exhaust.

Great finds on most of your parts, Not a fan personally of LED but if you like how it all looks then I think it's great. Might want a HDD they're only like 40 bucks for 1 TB at the high end, gonna need it just for regular day to day storage. It's a LOT of airflow which is nice but I worry it might be a bit loud once everything starts getting maxxed. Over all I think you did a stellar job on your first build.

Thanks for the comment. I plan to add a 2tb HDD soon and the fans are a little loud at idle. I plan on getting better fans that utilize more of my fan headers rather than the molex.

Awesome! Maybe look into fan controllers. I can't imagine you have high temp problems with this rig so maybe even just disconnecting one of them.

How's that aio working for you? I am planning to add one to my build as well. I have pretty similar specs. Not that I'm an expert or anything but I have just overclocked my 1600 so if you have any questions, feel free to ask! I was planning to get the NZXT kraken but it is becoming pretty common so I want to go with a different option.

The AIO seems to be working well. I couldn't pass up the price. I plan on running a stress test to see how cool it keeps things. The kraken is nice as well. What were you able to get out of the 1600 on your OC?

I overclocked it to 3.6 ghz as of now because I am using the stock cooler. Once I get an aio, I will try 3.9 or maybe even 4 ghz. With your aio, I think you can hit 3.8 or 3.9.
