Description

This is my first build.

I wanted it to be a high quality high end system with potential to upgrade. I will use this for work, gaming, video editing...

I was surprised how easy it was to put a pc together.

I didn't expect so much noise from the h100i. I should have gone for the corsair quiet edition fans instead of the high performance. Also I thought I installed them as intake. Turned out they are pushing air from inside through the radiator to outside of the case. It would make less noise if they were reversed I think.

In future when I feel the need for it I will probably upgrade. Another GTX 970 FTW+, more memory, more storage. For that reason I went with 850W. Great case!!

I think it looks great and it performs really well.

The temperature shown on one the images is with the stock cooler during out of case test. With the h100i it stays on 28-29°C when not at work.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think he was testing his components and it was too much trouble to put h100 on also alot of people use there stock cooler to support there motherboard as they put it into the case.

I was testing the components. A lot of youtube videos recommended this method.

And thanks!

Breadboarding is catching on. Test your components before you go to the trouble of installing everything, doing cable management, and making it pretty.

I found the high performance SP120 fans to be fine, just need to use the Corsair Link software to set your own fan curve (if you can get it to work anyway, hit or miss with Windows 8.1 and ASUS motherboards) Mine are quiet enough running off the CPU fan header and self adjusting.
