Description

So I recently sold my PC and was planning to save heaps of money (like 5k €) for my next build, buying the latest parts, triple SLI, 128 GB RAM, etc.

I found then, that no game at this moment needs such a power and decided to just build up a theme build with the budget I saved to this point.

After some research especially for chassis I was stuck with the NZXT S340, I was just struggling what color theme I should choose. I asked my girlfriend and brother and they decided for me to take black-red.

I then spent some days picking my parts, always trying to find the perfect part, fitting both the theme and my budget (1300€ (SSD, HDD and OS allready bought)).

It took me most time to pick my GPU. Hard to fit into the theme and also hard to find a red glowing GPU - sadly didn't find one, still working on a solution here.

When the parts arrived I knew I've picked the right stuff just forgot to pick a second black red fan for the back. Will fix that.

Building up the PC took like 5 hours. Was focusing on good cable management so I had to do the cables twice.

The build is used for gaming @1080p at the moment without any problems, I'll buy a new 16:9 screen @1440p soon.

Hope you guys enjoy my build! More pictures n details following!:)

Can anyone recommend a nice black-red SSD? The green-black of my current hurts my eyes.

I kind of like the splash of green, looks like a dab of poison sitting there :)

I rather like that case. You did an excellent job blending the color scheme to match the name. Nothing overwhelms anything else. Thanks for putting the build up:)

It's a nice color scheme. Could use a little more close up pictures on the parts and cable management. The pictures are fine but some are a little zoomed out rather than zoomed in. Both types of pictures are good actually. It could just use a little more close ups. Especially with the time put in on cable management.

+1 for the cable management! I would like to see this build, when it's turned on! I recommend an aftermarket backplate for the 970. :)

Looks great. Cable management must be a breeze in this case! Its a shame the MSI 970 varient doesnt have the nice backplate like the 960 :(

It is almost the same as the build as I'm gonna go with, except the CPU is an i7 4790k and the GPU is an R9 390x (http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/7GFMLk)

Hi, I have a similar build same case. I just installed the kraken x61 and I don't like how it fits. Towards the top it fits super tight against the power button/usb/headphone speaker Jack wiring bundle. Did you find this difficult as well?
