Description

My current rig with a moderate overclock of 4.4 GHz. I do everything from gaming to watching blu-ray movies. Looking forward to adding another video card and 8 more gigs of ram. Other than that, hardware wise I think i'm set. Can't wait for new SteelSeries Rival mouse and ASUS or BenQ monitor with G-sync.

Added Corsair sleeved cables and tried to tidy up the cable management. Also purchased my new mouse. Simply great!!! And a backplate for my gpu.

How do you like that case? I've been thinking about picking one of them up.

Nice case but you get what you pay for. Wish it had the rubber grommets to hide some of the cabling. If I remember correctly, there are only 2 cable tie mounts. And if you install an optical drive, the front cover becomes a bit tricky to remove for cleaning. Nice, clean case but if I were to build this again, I would probably go with a Fractal Design case.

Gotcha. Yeah this was going to be my compromise on my build to save a couple bucks. I wanted a Fractal R4 but wasn't sure about the $100 price tag. Maybe I should keep saving.

How's that 8350 running for you?

How are those Ducky keyboards?

Besides the fun lighting effects, nice and responsive tactical feel. First mechanical keyboard I've owned...glad that I went with this and not the Razer Blackwidow I initially was looking to get. Plug n play and no need for any other software. Firmware update to add one more lighting affect and that was it.

I'm just a little curious as to why you choose the 760 over the 770?

At the time I purchased these parts, I was replacing a rig with gtx 260 core 216 in sli. I was on a little bit of a budget and if I can sell my old comp I will be purchasing another 760. And from what I've seen, gtx 760 in sli out performs those silly titans. btw...why are people still purchasing titans????

I guess the main reason is for the massive amount of vram... and bragging rights

The want for a Ducky is REAL, but I can't justify the price difference between it and a Black Widow 2013.

I thought the same thing til i purchased my Ducky. If you are looking for a no frills, back lit mechanical keyboard...this is it. No software to deal with and it doesn't take up all the room that some other keyboards seem to do.

I want it SO bad. You think it will go on sale at some point? How are the green switches? Better than reds?

Not sure if it will go on sale, but I purchased my from tigerimports.net. They are the cheapest I was able to find it. Shipping and packing was good and timely. First mechanical I've ever owned so i'm not sure on the switches...

Good build - definitely needs cable management though...

I could try a bit harder with the cable management, I just think if the cut outs had rubber grommets it would hide the cables a bit more and only 2 cable tie mounts...tough.

Here's a question...I want to redo the cabling and want to get sleeved cables for the psu. What color do you guys think would look good? Options are green, white, red or metallic graphite. Have the green lighting around the case and purple led fans in front.

Nice build, very similar to my first one. However, the same mistake I made was to buy a Hexcore CPU, absolutely nothing in the gaming world uses more than four cores. Hopefully your octacore serves you well.

Just a fan boy. Haven't had to utilize (and my never) all the cores but it works fine for me.

What year is it 2009? Modern games utilize all cores.
