Description

Hey,

I started planning this build since mid-January, building it mid-March and started my custom loop last weekend(early April). It was a long process, but like you can see, the wait was worth it.

Yes, my ram is kind of slow, but I'm playing at 1440p and the gain of 3200MHz is only 3% according to TPU. I got an amazing deal from Amazon last summer, and it's 32gb haha.

I'm waiting for Vega, this is why I still have my old champion (R9 290X).

Watercooling & others:

  • Reservoir: Heatkiller 150DDC (with white plastidip)
  • Fan: Corsair ML120 & ML140
  • Radiator: 360mm Darkside LP360
  • Radiator: Alphacool NexXxos 420mm ST30
  • CPU block: EK Supremacy Evo
  • GPU block: EKWB
  • Cablemod magnetic RGB (6x 30cm)
  • Cablemod custom cable
  • fitting: mostly darkside, but a couple from bitspower.

edit: Thank you all for the feedback and thank you PCPP for the "featured build"

edit2: If you want to see me filling the loop :) (already have distilled water in it) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKHPuRDn6JI

Part Reviews

CPU

Really smooth experience and a powerhouse.

Motherboard

Little pricey compare to Intel, but great motherboard overall. Asus is quick on new BIOS.

Memory

Great looking RAM, too bad they don't have faster version with samsung B die, but for the price I paid (130CAD, thank you amazon.ca), it's a no brainer.

Storage

Really quick drive, but you'll not notice any difference versus a normal SSD if you don't do too much.

Storage

Great looking SSD with a good warranty.

Video Card

Got it for 3 years, on air this is a jet engine, but on water, this card is really great and served me well.

Case

Amazing case, probably the best bang for the buck. but the cable hole for the 24pin is ugly.

Power Supply

12 years warranty and the best 850w you can buy at the moment. say no more, have my money.

Case Fan

great fan, but pricey.

Case Fan

great fan, but pricey.

Monitor

Great freesync monitor with a good TN panel.

Keyboard

this keyboard is a tank. you can probably kill zombie with it or hit you mother in law.

Mouse

amazing grip, little bit pricey, but the color theme is ugly.

Headphones

probably the best bang for the buck headphone you can buy for a PC gamer. I also have a pair of Audio Technica ATH-50x and I find this one more confortable and with a better sound.

Awesome build! Best of luck with it and may your system be stable and your temps low! Thanks for being #TEAMROG

zestychille 3 Builds 2 points 11 months ago

What a crisp clean build. All neatly bundled and calculated with a cool precision. The work space a round it a clean tidy smooth experience. Beholding such craftsmanship feels like a walk in a maple forest on a bright spring morning after a long rain.

My PCs are usually trash goblin PCs. Covered in stains and tangled wires. Sticky notes all over the side to remember things I have to do. Tool-marked panels and dangling peripheral cables. When you turn them on the smell of the junkyard I work in mixed with my girlfriend's last night's weed permeates through the air.

warplane submitter 4 Builds 2 points 11 months ago

That was fun to read :D thanks :)

This build is now taken appart, I'm starting my new one.

Timeman190 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Can you show the back of the top compartment? I would love to see how you did the tubing at the top!

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago
Timeman190 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

That routing is so unique, clean, and cool. Im going to have to take some inspiration from that when I do mine.

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Yeah haha, two friend of mine helped me a lot for the routing (Duality92 and SnefComputerDesign). I was so lost at first.

Timeman190 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Meaning it was their idea and you didn't know what they were thinking? Or just routing the tubes in general?

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

It was duality Idea to pass the tubing behind the PSU shroud. the rest was all my idea (everything).

Snef helped me a lot for my first build.

Joshuajose123 1 point 13 months ago

Shhhhh :p

RoyalSovereign 1 point 13 months ago

Ryzen done right!!! May it serve you in health.

GentlemanShark 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Do they make fittings that specifically suited for connecting a CPU block to a GPU block? It just seems like it has to be a perfect fit with non-bend hardline tubing to get it to work with only fittings.

bmccarthy8989 9 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Well done, looks great. Glad you used 12mm tubing. I prefer it myself.

I'd recommend busting out the dremel and cut a new pass through for the 24 pin. In-win didn't think that one through. Also, I havn't worked with that case yet, but if there is a pass through around the bottom, I'd route those GPU cables strait down. It would make those cables bad ***. The only thing that would suck is you'd have to break down the loop to cut into the case :p

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

I can't cut a new pass through for the GPU because I have a SSD behind, same thing for the 24 pin :/

bmccarthy8989 9 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Eh, don't worry about it then! Still looks awesome.

xkepo 1 point 13 months ago

I thought it was a re-upload because your previous build is very similar.

P.S. Looking Fresh

Jackson_Tyler96 3 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Love the custom one pro's they are definitely not the best bang for the buck headphone for gaming. That title belongs to the SHP9500 and the HD 558 (; Great build!

Vreaker12 3 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Astonishing how many fans and cooling parts you managed to cram inside and still make them all look neat and beautiful. A worthy feature.

Zukhan 1 point 13 months ago

My god that case looks great. I can't wait for the 301 (mATX version of this case) to come out. I'll definitely be building with that once there are more mATX boards or the B350M Mortar Arctic is in stock in the US

Arichikurukuto 1 point 13 months ago

Really awesome build!! Take many +1s . Currently saving up for my RYZEN R5 1600X build and that badarse EVGA FTW3 1080ti. Super pumped about my upcoming build. Going to be l33t.

Excellent work and cable management!

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Thank you! :)

Wow, your build is looking good!

islandg@m3r 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

ThX!!! I am so hyped about how its going to look when its finished... wish me luck, trying to get my funds up 1st then i going to start buy couple parts at a time. WIll take a while like yours did, but I rather take my time vs doing a rush job. Will be my 1st watercooling attempt ever!!!

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

You'll be fine. Just prepare everything, dont rush anything. be sure you put all your o-ring in your fitting. don't forget any stop plug. put a **** load of paper towel when you fill it just in case. remove all the air you can in your loop.

Best thing you can do for your first build is buy distilled water at WalMart (great value 1gal), so even if you drop some, you'll be fine, after you put your concentrate.

just like I did for this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKHPuRDn6JI

islandg@m3r 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

I thought about that too...hmmm we'll see cuz currently I have the Koolance non-conductive premix. It has all the inhibitors and the color I want already heard good things about Koolance liquids. have you ever dealt with them??

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

you can also fill your loop with distilled water, flush it, and fill it with the coolant you want :)

Also, don't forget the drain Valve. and if you are doing hardtubing, buy the Mansoon mandrell kit (blue one)

JCMsergox 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

:NOEDIT

IT WORKED! I CALLED A FEATURE FOR ONCE!!

All seriousness though, congrats OP!

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 11 months ago

I Have another build on the way (August) You can also call it if you want :D

nashaudax 1 point 13 months ago

Could you please tell me how hard was it to put all the cutom parts together? I have the same case and it doesnt look like i could put a 420mm radiator on the bottom.

+1 for AMD components. More people need to use them

IT_Kosta_829 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Cool!

Is the Mouse pictured from Mad Catz? Despite all the criticism, they always came up with amazing designs. It's a shame they went out of business recently.

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

The mad catz is my daily mouse, but for the picture, I put my Logitech G502

essa.ea 1 point 13 months ago

neat and wonderful !

tamnhucanh 2 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

You should enter setup wars :)

thetortuga747 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

A lot of times when I see water cooled builds, it seems like some of the tubing is slightly out of alignment, or at a wonky angle. I honestly know nothing about this; is it safe? Does it affect stability?

+1 for the epic build m8

warplane submitter 4 Builds 2 points 13 months ago

It's hard to achieve 100% perfect straight tubing. For this build I use PETG, PETG is flexible and can't shatter, so even if you have a little angle, it doesn't matter because you have 3 o-ring in your fitting. But, with acrylic, you need to have it straight cause it can shatter.

thetortuga747 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Thanks for the info!

bloodroses75 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

A very attractive build. +1 for sure!

undeadshark 1 point 13 months ago

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

mobile?

undeadshark 1 point 13 months ago

I meant mobo damn auto correct

undeadshark 1 point 13 months ago

By the way great build but heck of a lot of money you could of bought a car for that also can we have some temps?

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Yeah, I love my motherboard :D

My car is already paid (2013 chevy cruze).

undeadshark 1 point 13 months ago

Haha

PantherrYT 1 point 13 months ago

How much would this cost in American currency? Thinking of building a custom cooling loop and I was wondering what ballpark it would be in price wise.

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Custom loop like this one: arround $1200USD.

PantherrYT 1 point 13 months ago

ok thank you!

ftech7 1 point 13 months ago

bro can you share which desk you are using for this build

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Ikea Gerton :)

ftech7 1 point 13 months ago

with adill legs

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

the cheapest one I think haha.

BiaxialObject48 1 point 13 months ago

0/10: No AMD Radeon RAM or SSD

I'm just kidding, obviously (the RAM is DDR3). Great build and I hope you enjoy your shiny new computer!

ParadoXGodzillA 1 point 13 months ago

Very nice build, but I would go with the AMD RYZEN 5 1600x as it is a teeny faster and better for budget gaming and desktop rather than workshop use (editing). Source of benchmarks and comparison: [REMOVED]

warplane submitter 4 Builds 2 points 13 months ago

I'm doing both ;) and I have it overclocker to 3.9Ghz. It's enough for me :)

ParadoXGodzillA 1 point 13 months ago

If you have another clean build, will you send it to me? I'm trying to make the best bang for my buck. :D Thanks

YEAH BOI STEP OFF SON ahem Thanks for checking!

ParadoXGodzillA 1 point 13 months ago

All right, it's not like I'm going to IP Log someone with the following sites, grabify.link; blasze.tk; etc.; etc. I'm sorry if I have used goo.gl. Most people use that or bit.ly so I thought I should've used it too.

I'll try not to use goo.gl again (or other variants of link shorteners).

Flamearky 1 point 13 months ago

Why the 290X and not an RX 480? Hmm..

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Because I have it since 2013 and the 480 is arround the same performance.

Flamearky 1 point 13 months ago

Mmk, love the build.

Flyrobot27 1 point 13 months ago

Cool as F**k

Greatest build ivé seen i long time, really nice work sir! If only the cable management cutout was positioned better the cables would look even better!

Thank you!

jushui 1 Build 1 point 12 months ago

dat res tho. +1!

Can't find a single flaw in this build. Everything on point. Amazing pics too. Go(Oh) Canada!!!

HawkinYaTV 1 point 12 months ago

Upon my research, i thought the inwin 303 only supported 120mm fans up top for a total of a 360mm. Those fans you have up there fill up the space a little more snuggly compared to other builds ive seen with similar fan layouts. Did you custom drill holes to fit them in? Or am i missing something?

warplane submitter 4 Builds 2 points 12 months ago

Not at all, I just used the top 120mm row. I only have 3 screw.

HawkinYaTV 1 point 12 months ago

Thanks! duly noted

FightingAtom 1 point 11 months ago

Then why did you custom watercool it. Wouldnt it have been easier to use air cooling until vega came out. Anyway Amazing build. +1

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 11 months ago

Because I bought the GPU/waterblock 3 years ago and I just re-used it? I'll buy another one for Vega.

FightingAtom 1 point 11 months ago

Ok that makes sense

BreakingbAdam 1 point 11 months ago

Hey, cool build. What desk are you using?

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 11 months ago

Ikea Gerton

justFade 1 point 11 months ago

HEY! I know this is a bit late and rude of me to ask, but what are all the watercooling parts that you used?

warplane submitter 4 Builds 1 point 11 months ago

Don't worry :)

Read the description again ;)

Or:

Watercooling & others:

  • Reservoir: Heatkiller 150DDC (with white plastidip)

BABatron22 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

shhhhh. its okay.

ParadoXGodzillA -1 points 13 months ago

Warplane, for the graphics card, I'm thinking about getting a GALAX 80NSJ6DHL2SN (GALAX GeForce GTX 1080 HOF) but it doesn't have Crossfire support, but SLI support. I'm only going to buy one of these cards but is Crossfire for dual, triple, or quad support? Will I need Crossfire support if it's only going to be one graphics card for my AMD RYZEN 5 1600x build and my X370 mobo? Thanks if you respond back. :D

warplane submitter 4 Builds 2 points 13 months ago

Crossfire is for multiple AMD Graphic card

SLI is for multiple Nvidia Graphic card. If a motherboard have SLI support, it automatically have the Crossfire Support.

The B350 chipset have the crossfire and the X370 have the SLI and Crossfire.

Now, if you only have one card, you don't need to botter about this at all. So you can either choose a B350 or X370 motherboard (but keep in mind you can't have multiple Nvidia card with a b350 chipset if you want SLI in the future).

ParadoXGodzillA 1 point 13 months ago

Ok, thanks. I will not be using SLI/Crossfire support on this build as it will be my first computer build. But I will keep in mind for a SLI/Crossfire support in the future. Thank you for the help and I hope to talk to you again on building other computers!
