Description

Built this to game, extra small form factor so I can put it in a backpack when travelling.

The GPU just kind of hangs there by the connector which I don't like but there isn't really a secure mounting mechanism on this case so I need to figure that out when I find the time.

Got the Gigabyte x570i to fit after filing down the hole for the IO shield (don't recommend, get a different mobo for this case), and got the Black Ridge on by forgoing the SSD heatsink/fan.

Very well fed Velka, I approve lol

Love seeing true sff builds here, how is the fan noise? Temps good?

CPU fan is actually very quiet with the black ridge and noctua fan, though there is some turbulence noise. It idles around 45C and when gaming around 65C, never seen it go above 80. GPU fans are okay. I realized that after a point you get diminishing returns with fan speed (90% is actually super loud), so I have mine to run at a max of 60% at 80C (junction temp), and when playing Witcher 3 on ultra the GPU is around 70C with junction temps around 82C. Overall I'd say I'm pretty satisfied!

It's difficult to tell how small your build is, without knowing if that bulb of garlic is metric or imperial.

Which Velka 5 revision is this? Good to see the Red Dragon 5700 XT fits!

Also looking at pairing a Red Dragon with my Velka 5 - how did you find space for the power cables since Velkase recommends 16mm of space on top of the card width which for the Red Dragon is 132mm already.

Very nice build indeed! I have the same motherboard and I consider buying the Alpenföhn Black Ridge cooler. I am unsure whether or not the motherboard will fit the cooler. What exactly do you mean by "got the Black Ridge on by forgoing the SSD heatsink/fan"? Thanks.
