PC was build for gaming and programming. Have been a console gaming my whole life but have been wanting to build a PC for many years. I finally had the money and besides memory prices it seemed like a good time to buy with all the black friday and christmas deals.
I've done some overclocking on the CPU but not really on the GPU. It can handle everything I can throw at it while playing at 1080p 60fps. I was also able to set the memory to 3200MHz without issue. Didn't really have any problems when building except incorrectly setting the PWRBTN header which caused me to panic a little when I first pressed the power button and nothing happened.
I really wanted a full sized GTX 1060 6GB but wasn't really in my budget but found this mini on black friday for only $210. Between christmas gifts and mail in rebate; the total price out of pocket was around $950.
The PC is quite enough for me but I'm sure I could get it a lot quieter with some better fans. Over all I am very happy with how it turned out. I'm open for any recommendations for improvement or further upgrades.
Awesome CPU could not recommend more.
Decent budget motherboard, haven't figure out how to allow CPU to down clock when idle.
Pricey but looks and performs great.
Took from an old laptop that got upgraded to an SSD
For being a mini, I can't say it performs like one. Comparing it to full sized GPUs it's only marginally behind. Probably has a much small headroom for overclocking.
Love it, no complaints. For being only $50 after rebate I feel like it got something much higher priced.
Does what it needs to for a good price at $55 after rebate.
I'm sure I could get much quieter fans but it's hard to be for a 4 pack at $13
Cheapest IPS 1080p at the time. Will be upgrading down the road.
Might be a unpopular opinion but I can't stand load mechanical keyboards. This one feels great and is quiet.
No complaints, comfortable. Haven't used the mic.
Cheapest SSD I could find at the time, holds the OS and programs. Will be upgrading to an M.2 NVME at some point even though it's not necessary.
For being free on black friday from newegg after mail in rebate, I didn't have high hopes but I actually love how this mouse feels.
