Description

This is my first gaming pc. I plan on using it for gaming/editing. This pc runs games no problem in 2k resolution. So far I've tested Arma 3 runs around 150fps on max settings. I plan on overclocking just haven't had the time. Only problems I ran into was vertically mounting the graphics card. It will not mount using the cable mod vertical gpu same with the cooler master. I found a 20 dollar stand on eBay works great. Well that's my computer I had alot of fun building it! Let me know what you think as well as suggestions for upgrading anything!

Nice build! I have an 8700k and 2080 as well, both are overclocked. If your going to overclock the 8700k I strongly recommend de-lidding it first or temps will go up very fast.

Thanks! I did a little research and saw that. How do you think temps would be at 4.7? Just using the turbo boost

I have non delided 8700K on 4,7GHz and Noctua D15S with 3 fans... Idling at 29°C Gaming at 42°C Stress test AIDA64 Extreme max. 62°C / avg. 58°C. Oh and btw, it is ITX build... well, you can also check it on my profile.

Well I forgot to mention, you will have to increase power draw limit up to at least 115-120W to reach 4,7GHz on all cores. I left voltages on auto and they are around 1,22V, so it really is safe.

Thanks. I'll try out 4.7ghz and see how the temps are

Not sure, I'm at 4.9 on all cores and hit a max of 67 on a stress test but gaming I stay in the 45-55 range. Thats with a de-lid though.

Very cool! I see you used the G Skill Trident Z high profile ram and I was wondering if it fits well with the Dark Rock P4 being such a large cooler? I thought for sure the ram would be too tall. Seems you have no issues, based on the pics, or were there any? I'm looking to use a similar setup so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Install the ram before the cooler hah and it has a little room it doesn't touch

Hey man, nice build. I'm looking to build the same mobo cpu cooler combo. did you have any problems mounting the cooler? I heard some problems about the backplate.
