Description

As stated, this is my first build. I think I got a little impatient towards the end of the component selection process and started opting for faster shipping times over better deals from various websites, resulting in everything being purchased from either Microcenter or Amazon.

I don't have plans to overclock and I'm not a big gamer, so I'm hoping this machine will run fast, cool and quiet for some time, although I wouldn't mind an excuse to build again sooner rather than later.

if you don't plan on gaming, why even bother with a graphics card? the intel hd 4600 will be more than plenty for non-gaming, everyday use. Hell, it can even do some games decently.

True. I should have clarified that I haven't been a big gamer (because my previous system didn't allow it), but I do plan to do some gaming (CIV5, possibly FFXIV) and definitely will be photo editing on this computer.

really nice. Try upgrading every 1-2 years you gfx to a 860, 960, etc. So you can still play the latest games at decent fps.

Personally, I would have went with 8GB of RAM and get a better motherboard. Aside from that, pretty decent build, it's just that I can't support the CX serie from Corsair..

I would have gone with an APU if you're only a light gamer. And the case listed is not the one you used. You used the NZXT Tempest case.

The CPU would struggle even with photo editing, even an A10, but it depends how demanding. A 4570 would be perfect for him but yeah why the GPU? I heard the HD 4600 is alright. Maybe a 7750 if he had too, also i'm not sure how 430W will hold up, 430W is JUST enough but should have gone 500W to be safe also that the CX series is not the best quality. Anyway nice build!

I'm thinking about getting that same ASRock motherboard. Are you happy with it? Do you have anything to comment about it?
