Part Reviews

CPU

At default clock settings it's a meh, but give it some juice and this thing really takes off! It was a night and day difference after overclocking this to 4.5ghz

CPU Cooler

I mostly bought this based on looks but I was very surprised at how well it performs. I was only able to fit one fan for a pull config but it still keeps temps much cooler than my other cooler master 120v AIO

Video Card

Maxes out any game I have in 2560x1080p no problem

Operating System

Meh, its windows

Headphones

Got a referb one on ebay. Works great, sounds great, very comfy

Would you say that this cooler is good enough for overclocking?

The original Zalman one I had in there was horrible for overclocking, the Cryorig keeps the I5 under 80C when gaming with a minor OC but it's not a cooler for anything more than a minor OC

Thanks! Are you meaning did the 970 have its anti static bag in the box? It came wrapped in that but I think some gpu's just come in like a plastic mould that hold it still during shipping.

For the paint I only did the front cover and side panels with white plasidip. I used 4 cans. Plastidip is cheap but it's not permanent. You can peel it off when it's dry, so if you don't like the paint job or if you ever want to change the color you just peel off the rubberized plastidip.

Oh yeah the whole box was plastic wrapped.

I don't know if plastidip is non toxic, it's fine to get on your skin cause it just peels off but it still smells like spray paint

I bought all my parts on newegg

If you do the plastidip outside you'll be fine

Used stuff is still good, hopefully you didn't pay full price though?

Ive not had any samsung SSD but I did have a crucial bx and I dont notice any speed difference. An SSD is an SSD for most people. As for dependability Ive never had an SSD fail on me yet for any brand
