I'd recommend getting a after market cpu cooler because the AMD cooler is LOUD. I plan on getting a Corsair Liquid Cooler sometime soon. Other then that the next big upgrade will be my GPU which will be next year.
550 Ti's not a very good card for the price... 7770 or 6850 would've been a better choice, and you could've made the PSU 500 watt.
damn, i was 30 seconds slower in responding LOL. exactly this^ i was in the middle of typing while he posted this
Yes I should have went with something different but I was thinking about upgrading in about a year anyway to at least a gtx 570 depending on my budget
Except you could've gotten better for the exact same price in the first place.
like what? I didnt have money leftover after paying for this? This isn't supposed to sound mean I was just wondering what you were thinking. I'm sure I could send it back and get a new graphics card if I wanted to.
would have gone with the 560 ti atleast
ssd is from where?! and pretty good for your first build, im guessing you'll be gaming mildly on it :) a lot of people will say the 550 ti is a little expensive (which imo is), you should have gone for a 6850, or 6770 and then crossfire. ps... no stock coolers are good -__-" nice parts!
I was on a budget plus what i payed for my 550ti wasn't that bad. I only payed about 100 us dollars for it. Also I'm hopefully getting an SSD soon and I know I said the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO but now I'm thinking of getting a Corsair H80
How well does this rig play?
Good enough for the price but then again I don't have any very demanding games yet.
great build for a $500 budget and for a first computerm im impressed, nice work!
Sorry for the camera quality! For whatever reason I couldn't get it to focus.
nice build for the price! hoping i can build my first gaming pc in december this year. check my profile for the pc i wanna build :)
Why do people go with the x4s and not x6s?
You mean the cpu? I was on a budget and didn't have the extra money.
To me everything looks good the only minor thing would be the gpu(as danielhep said) i would definetly get the 6850 for the budget if you can use the extra dollars the 6870 is a really good choice.
Yea i updated it and i now have a 6850 and it runs so much better then the 550 ti plus it only cost me about an extra 30 bucks
I hope you have already an operating system
No but I have purchased one since then.
