Description

My new build for 2020.

On the part list, there's a warning indicating that the EATX motherboard and H710i case aren't compatible. However, once the optional cable management bar is removed from the case, the motherboard can fit.

A true 16 core beast w/ a RTX 2080 Ti! Congratulations! I'm no expert on PC hardware, but I'm guessing the black memory card on the right should be moved to the right-most slot to run dual channel mode. I'm also wondering if the GPU should be moved to the upper PCI slot for maximum performance. Any/all hardware experts please comment. I also don't see the case listed in the parts list. Regardless, thumbs up from me. Enjoy!

Thanks for the comment. I have the two 8GB RAM sticks running in dual channel with a single Corsair Vengeance 1x16GB.

I didn't put the GPU into the higher PCI slot because I thought it would be blocked by the tubing from the Kraken X62 cooler. Do you think it would be better if I move it?

The case is NZXT H710i. I couldn't find it listed so I had to add a custom entry.

I'm okay w/ the memory if you confirmed w/ the MB instructions. I would also check those instructions for any reference to performance between the PCI slots. I have seen some posts on this site where users report changing it to the upper slot does not make any noticeable improvement so it might just be fine where it is. Nice case btw!

The 16GB stick is black, and the 2 8GB ones in dual channel are red and black so I think that's fine.

I just checked and the GPU should still be able to fit in the top slot, so I'll move the card. Thanks for the tip!

Nice build. I see you purchased two RAM kits at different speeds. And in your photos you have just 3 DIMMs. Yet, your screen shot shows you are using 32GB total. (a bit confusing) Which DIMMs did you use in your final build and which speed? Thank you.

Originally I used 3 leftover 2400MHz RAM sticks and I actually included incorrect speeds.

I decided to upgrade to 2x32GB 3200 MHz. I've just updated the parts list.
