hellfire1984 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 32 months ago

LOTIPCBUILDER1 1 point 32 months ago

heres a tip try to put a x61 kraken in there or somethng of the sort

hellfire1984 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 32 months ago

Thanks, but why would I do that if I already have a 480GTS?

LOTIPCBUILDER1 1 point 32 months ago

got mixed up soz but how slim cloud you make the case just wandering with all the gear in it

hellfire1984 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 32 months ago

The case that I picked is 8.7in tall, providing 7.8in of inside space. The tallest components attached to the bottom plate are the pump and psu. Then it meets the radiator, fans, the top of the plexiglass, then the monitor. I'm using every mm of space from bottom to top. A smaller case would require different components or a different configuration.

Tosua 1 point 32 months ago

+100 for case Good job there

hellfire1984 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 32 months ago

KrumpetPirate 3 Builds 1 point 32 months ago

Please, please update with the final build!

hellfire1984 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 32 months ago

I will, once the damn GPU arrives!

KrumpetPirate 3 Builds 1 point 32 months ago

Yeah, I'm building a system for my buddy and his 1070 comes in Wednesday. Can't wait.

hellfire1984 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 31 months ago

so how did your build end up looking?

KrumpetPirate 3 Builds 1 point 31 months ago

It wasn't the best build, but my buddy was pretty proud of his new machine.

hellfire1984 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 31 months ago

Nice build. 1070 is the way to go!

FACUNDO 13 Builds 1 point 32 months ago

That looks better than my car! if you know what I mean

hellfire1984 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 32 months ago

Thanks haha

Richard912 1 point 32 months ago

Um... but it's an orange box but honestly really cool.

hellfire1984 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 32 months ago

haha yea. a "Black Box" is the flight recorder that most aircrafts have, and it is actually orange too ;)

OMGriffinz 2 Builds 1 point 32 months ago

This is quite cool actually... I wouldve mounted the fans so they blow downwards so that you dont get ur face blasted with hot air and put a slim keyboard and trackpad on top underneath the monitor so that u can tell everyone its a fat laptop...

hellfire1984 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 31 months ago

thank you, I wanted the case so be sealed once its closed, but that is a fun idea haha

LOTIPCBUILDER1 1 point 32 months ago

think its airport friendly

hellfire1984 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 31 months ago

yes. But I fly myself when I travel.

PurpleDragonX99 1 point 31 months ago

how do u like that video card

hellfire1984 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 31 months ago

Im loving it. Have it locked at 60fps. Never see the counter go below that. Playing New Doom, Arma, FO4...

PurpleDragonX99 1 point 31 months ago

Ty for letting me know

BlueTile 1 point 31 months ago

Why not have fans coming out the rear side and the left and right sides so they are not blowing in your face? Cool build though.

hellfire1984 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 30 months ago

I want the case to be sealed when closed. Also, I don't feel the exhaust fans blowing on my face, even when im sitting 2ft away from the screen.

BlueTile 1 point 30 months ago

I see... Very nice build!

Gooberdad 10 Builds 1 point 29 months ago

Neat custom portable pc.

Thumbs up.

H4N2 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

Now just get a battery for this thing and it's a laptop

VoxelVortex 1 Build 1 point 26 months ago

TBH that GPU is a bit overkill for 1080p, I have a GTX 1060 and I can still max out every game I play. Also, you should get a large mousepad, move keyboard back and use foreground for your mouse(making sure to leave ample space for the fans and such). Otherwise, I dig the setup...

Pixal 1 point 24 months ago
