i see fap tissue ;)
Downvote for the shirtless kid on the bed haha. JK very nice, balanced build. +1
Nice build, I like how you pointed the PSU up so it wouldn't bring in dust +1
That case looks way too big for this build. Nice build but I would have skimped on the case and added the extra money to a gtx 760.
case is huge (bigger than i thought) but it was about as much as the smaller ones. prices on here might be inaccurate because i bought it over a 7 month span. didnt think i would need a better card for what i wanted it for, not to say i wont change it out later but for now this was my first so dont know how to compare parts yet
oh and if i recall correctly 760 wasn't out at the time i bought my card (April of this year)
ahhh well then that makes sense.
yea same with the cpu, new generation came out weeks after i bought my i5
question for any one. i got the ssd in order to run windows while the hdd would be my primary storage. when booting up everything was installed on ssd and i had to set up the hdd. question is what is the best way to make that happen? regedit was all i could find online but since everything was put on ssd most programs on pc don't run. do i need to re install everything on hdd and erase it off sdd?
What do you mean? Like the HDD won't show up at all?
I have Both Working But Everything Is Being Downloaded To The Ssd Instead Of The 1Tb. The Hdd Is Being Read And Is Usable But Can't Tell It To Download Things To It Automatically. Sorry For the Caps, Phone Is Being weird
Well, like you said, you can either do the registry edit, or you can just pay attention to where you're downloading things. Another thing you can do is when you open up Windows Explorer and go to the Libraries, you can change the locations.
I would've rather seen a better card in here, but the 660 is decent. An AMD GPU would have better suited this build IMO.
Like dis case!
The cable management is a bit of a hot mess, but otherwise it's a pretty decent build.
didnt really know wth i was doing but i tried
I've got the same case, and would like to think that I did a decent job of it. Take a look if you'd like some ideas.
Parts-wise I think you have a nice build. As stated by others there is some additional cleanup with cabling that could be done. Your build does bring to light how very big that case is. There is a lot of open space, but, that said there's a lot to getting a case that appeals to you. If you got the one you liked, then it's a win no matter what anyone says.
As to your build, is the picture deceiving or is your PSU a little too short for the case tab? Like it's a quarter inch shy of touching the tab? Or I'm just too old and everything's blurry :)
i loved the way the case looked and was on sale. i didnt think it would be bad if it was too big so just said go big or go home.
pus is short slightly. didnt notice but 1) does that matter? 2) if so how can i fix it if possible?
I don't think it does matter. But I wanted to make sure I was seeing it correctly. I don't think it's bad at all. I really like that case.
As it's got water in its name i was expecting a fully water-cooled machine, i'm disappointed XD
working on it, running low on funds and needed it to be running. planning on water cooler and possibly overclocking
love the name and color scheme
You have to set up partition on the HDD to get it to work. There are YouTube videos showing how. Mine was the same thing, recognized the SSD but not the HDD, but it would recognize the HDD in BIOS. So youtube search Windows 7 and HDD or HDD partition. That should help you get in the right direction with it...
+1 for the skin in the background. Love the case, excellent choices.
Fap tissue :O
Is the motherboard good?
How's your dollar tree internet?
Try and route those sata cables behind the motherboard tray, would look much better imo.
Also, I'd recommend upgrading that gpu in the future. Especially now with a card like the 290 that performs just as well, if not better than a 780 in most cases and it only costs 400 dollars.
i want to just thought it wouldnt reach
You could try putting your drives in the higher bays?
The 290 does not perform better than a 780, and the 290x about matches it. source: http://youtu.be/m1JOhT015ww
Those are overclocked benchmarks. While they are relevant, the 780s reference cooler is much better than the 290(x)s thus resulting in a better overclocker. If you look at stock benchmarks its a different story. (btw not an amd fanboy at all, I'd prefer to buy an nVidia card. But when you get a GPU offering this much performance at this price, you can't not recommend it)
this review offers a variety of benchmarks, some of which the 780 outperform the 290, and some of which the 290 outperforms the 780.
