So, I'm 13. Me and my buddy are both really into gaming. I had a really bad computer (that I got for free), and for the past half year I've been saving up money to build a new one. My old computer specs are listed here: i7-2600, DDR3-1333 8GB, Msi Nvidia Gtx 960 4gb, and some disgusting case that had ketchup and mustard cables. All in all it was pretty garbage. What worked well? Things that worked well were everything, but the easiest part to put in was the ssd, which is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G for the price. Any Problems? I actually did have a few problems. My buddy and I couldn't get all the screws in the stock cooler down because they got off sometimes. After like 20 minute of total stress we finally got it. The IO shield was a pain in the ***. If you're wondering why the name it is because my lizard's name is Mushu and I put his plant in there as a prop because he recently passed. RIP.

Part Reviews

Before I start, HUGE shout-out to my cousin Josh for sending me this CPU out of the kindness of his heart. So amazing. Okay, so I was able to overclock this CPU to 3.7 with no problem. The stock cooler is amazing but installation was a little wonky, maybe because it was my first time installing anything on a computer. Screwing it on was pretty hard to do and so was the lighting. To get green on the cooler's ring I had to set the rgb port in the bios to 255 red. Anyways, this CPU is so amazing for the price. Definitely would use in a higher-mid-range build.

IO Shield was pretty tough to install. I would do 4 and a half stars because otherwise this motherboard is absolutely amazing.

Amazing. This ram is so bright, so easy to install (like any ram) and so fun to play with in Corsair's iCUE software.

No words. This SSD is so incredible for the price. Boot up takes 7 seconds.

Video Card

I got it for Christmas, pretty expensive (thanks to bitcoin asshats). Actually runs AAA games really well. I would get it if you are looking for a pretty badass GPU that isnt a 1080 or 1070.

This case is so incredible! Installation is so easy and cable management is even easier with included zip ties and what not. Definitely so worth it for the price.

Power Supply

Amazing sleeved cables, super easy to find everything. Packaging was so awesome and they included little EVGA packages to store things in. Would definitely recommend

Case Fan

Pretty awesome, one thing is I didn't think of buying the HUE+ so I'm still waiting on that.

Pretty awesome, its just that that stand has a little bit of a brown accent and it is a bit ugly.

Amazing switches, super nice to game with and type with.

A little overpriced but very adjustable DPI in iCUE software. Illumination is incredible.

Very nice headset. If you have $100 to spend on a headset this is your best choice.

You're 13, I'M 14 and some how YOU got a better computer then what I have. Here is my specs:

  • AMD FX-6300

  • 10GB of DDR3

  • 1TB Seagate Barracuda

  • EVGA Geforce GTX 550 Ti 2 GB

  • A ****** *** Lite on 300 Watt PSU that is used in all HP desktops (Even that "fancy" Oman gaming desktop) which died because it can't handle the load of both the CPU and GPU

  • Yes, a HP Pavilion HPE h8-1234

Any how, nice build +1.

Im 14 as well and I had a Pentium B960 laptop with 4 GBs of RAM but then I needed something more powerful for stuff like vm's, so I asked for money for my birthday and also did work and built Rainbow Zebra.

Morale of the story is hang in there and one day you will get an upgrade

Funny how you say that. My dad just gave me allowance, so I'm saving up.

Lmao. Thanks dude. If you're looking to upgrade then start saving whenever you can because it took me 6 months to have enough for this one, even when my cousin supplied me with a CPU, and my parents supplied me with a GPU on Christmas.

Thanks! It's going to take me about 10-11 months of saving, but that will be OK,

Do you share this with your friend?

LaTree submitter 1 Build 1 point 9 months ago

No. He just helped me build it because he had previous experience with building before.

Your PC looks amazing dude!!!

Also about the monitor. I don't know if you have a small paint brush, but you could always paint the base of the monitor (or accent) green to fit with your color scheme.

LaTree submitter 1 Build 1 point 9 months ago

that sounds like a great idea. thank you!!
