Did the mobo need a bios update before you installed the r5 3600?

No, I have the same motherboard. Any mobo's that have MAX at the end is 3000 series ready. but I recommend a different MAX Mobo. it only has 1 fan header, unless I'm blind and can't find it?, so if you have even more than 1 fan you're going to need a splitter cable depending on the number of fans you have, my rig has 4 so I needed to buy a fan hub to hook up all my fans, so maybe the Tomahawk or the gaming mobo would be better off.
