Description

My first ever PC build; I mostly game but do light photo editing on the side. (Lots of Overwatch at the time of building it) Might also use it as a compiler as I am in school for Computer Engineering, so I also felt like this was a right of passage almost just to say I have built one. I was only really unsure as to what I was doing when I applied the CPU cooler. The directions included did not list the 1151 socket type. I scoured components for the last 6 months trying to deiced what I wanted. The case went on sale for a price I could not refuse and I bought it. This is the largest mid-tower case I have ever seen.

Definitely like the custom back-plate as well as the custom side panel, well worth the money to make my PC more unique.

Going to work on adding a Punisher theme to this build. Want to paint his logo on the side panel. I also want to get some custom sleeved cables; RAID 0 some more SSDs for speed; and of course add water-cooling.

Really liking that case! I also really like the good price/performance ratio you have going on here. +1 from me

Great build overall, only two things I would have changed:

  1. Power supply is overkill but it helps for future graphics and SLI if you want.

  2. I would have gone with the R9 390 since it costs as much as a GTX 970 and is better, as well as has more than twice the VRAM.

Yeah with the power supply I was looking to future proof it against any upgrades I wanted to do. I did however want a GTX card, mostly just because I'm much more familiar with their stuff than I am AMD.

Shouldn't that GPU be in the top-most PCIe slot?

As far as I can tell the PCI slot I have it in is the exact same as the top-most one. Makes it hard to see my nice backplate in the top most slot.

Read your motherboard manual. It will probably say to put your GPU in the top most slot for best performance.
