Description

Originally wanted a smallish sub $500 gaming/general purpose PC which was perfectly attainable, but then got temped by upgrades (SSD, Blu-Ray, etc) during and after the build.

I used the smallest budget case I could find. Smaller cases get more expensive. 6.89" x 13.86" x 15.26" (W x H x D) (bezel included) = 1457in3 or 23,880cm3

Price as shown $850. Includes 7.5 to 8% Ca sales tax, shipping, promos and rebates. Could have saved $50-$100 more if I had gotten some items during the November 2013 sales events. Purchased most stuff in Oct 2013. Price with no upgrades and no OS, $477

Most items bought from Microcenter, but used Amazon, Newegg and eBay as well.

Upgrades from sub $500 price to $850 price include:

-256gb SSD and cables/screws

-CPU cooler, thermal paste, 2 pwm fans & splitter cable

-2 pwm case fans and splitter cable

-Blu-Ray player

-Windows 7 Pro

-Wireless card

Is there any way you could override the prices to show how much you actually paid for the rig? If this cost $1238, it's not that good of a build.

Yes. I would not pay that much. Prices don't include tax, rebates and some discounts. Though they about cancel each other out as the the new price is almost the $850 I actually spent. Some prices also affected by combo deals such as the motherboard and RAM. Hope you like it now.

Yeah, for that price it makes much more sense and it's a good build! =)

Good cable management and build overall! I'm currently building my own rig with the same case, and its cool to see somebody else's build finished with it :D
