Description

I originally built this computer to get vr ready but mostly use it for games and productivity. One thing that can be changed is beefyer power supply and you can sli the msi goldens. I had oc this but this board has issues with oc and so after a bit not even an oc gine overclock would work.

From my experience, anything with an AMD CPU can/should be called an AMD build.

Nice AMD build bro-- that 8350 is a monster.

Have you tried doing a manual OC? Just hitting stability problems or what?

I did some manual OC and was running stable then i pushed to far and it refused any OC after that including using OC Genie. By and By the MSI 970 Krait is not a good board for OC with only 5 power phases. I am updating to a Asus 970 pro Aura board with 8 power phases and will try some more OC with that.

Yeah, unfortunately a lot of it relies on MoBo capabilities. Best of luck!

Don't forget to OC the RAM too :)

you should replace the 980 ti with the 1070 it is about the same performance but quite a bit cheaper

Unfortunately i bought 2x of the 980ti about a week before the 10 series went for public consumption so now i am stuck with them unless i want to take a hit in my wallet.

Running 980tis SLI FX 9590 at 4k, no noticeable bottleneck here at 3840 x 2160 60hz. What speed are you running your memory at when you are attempting to overclock?

i havent OC the gpu felt no need if you read my reply to a comment up above you can see with the MSI Krait mobo i havent had the best time. <-- this is not meant to sound mean but i didnt know how to write it differently seeing as i am responding to all comments at the same date about a month after they were posted sorry if any offence is taken.

No offence at all. It is hard to see inflection when writing without character so a lot of people on this site, myself included have been guilty of taking offense to otherwise offense-less statements. :)

I was referencing the attempted overclock on the CPU and was interested at what speeds you were running that memory at when trying?

Hey is you MoBo still working with that FX-8350? ive been reading lots of complaints using this MoBo, and i just bought it, and felt disapointed, been using the PC for a couple of days and no probs, but still im starting to feel worried about it.

I had an oc of 8% and it recently started giving me issues so i dialed it back to stock and everything is going good. I stream and do high end gameing with my main computer.

980 TI WITH A 8350 WILL BOTTLENECK SO HARD, GET AN i5 OR i7!!!!!!!!!!

That 8350 won't bottleneck on anything less than a 4k attempt.

Monitor on the parts list is 1080p @60Hz, no way that 8350 is even close to choking out the 980's throughput

the only time i noticed a bottleneck was when i tried 2x980ti in sli it runs 4k just fine on my tv and it runs 1080 with more then needed fps. Also im not an Intel guy, sorry to disappoint.
