Hello! Decided I should actually use the profile I signed up for a while back and put up my current build.

It's been a project for the past few years, rather than all bought at once, but I enjoy the tinkering so it's being updated continuously.

I primarily use it for gaming, but I do have audio equipment that I use from time to time for recording. I also like to record high quality video using ShadowPlay (though I used to use other software), mainly for my own enjoyment rather than for YouTube or anything like that though.

It's pretty quiet and pretty damn powerful, so I'm quite pleased with what it's become.

I'm interested in getting into water cooling, but only if I can do so to make the build quieter than it already is. I've posted this request on /r/buildapc over on Reddit, so if you have any suggestions how to make this build better and/or quieter, please let me know! Thanks!

So I'm interested to see a description of what this will be used for. I'm guessing audio/video production work? I say that cuz of the mass amount of HDD space. Also killer job on cable management for not using a modular PSU.

Thank you! The cable management was a real pain around the back due to the sheer amount of spare cables, but I eventually got it to the point I'm happy. So many cable ties...

But sure, I'll update the system with a description, I didn't expect people to notice this so quickly, or at all, so I hadn't put one in.

I do a little bit of audio/video production, but I mainly just like having the storage. I've had a few hard drives fail on me in the past, so each time I've ended up getting a larger one.

I had much more storage with a few other drives, but the sound of them resonating at slightly different speeds almost drove me insane. My last case looked like a spider web of bungee cords to try and dampen it.

To get it quieter maybe look into some Corsair AF 140mm quiet edition fans. I have them in my case and the only noise I hear from them is from the air that they're moving. Also maybe get some more sound deadening foam and place it anywhere you can to absorb more sound. I'm planning on doing that with my R4 as well. A quiet computer is a good computer in my mind.

Why separate ram..? Would've bought cheaper ram sticks that are 2*8.

But good build. Please add a description.

Will do! The ram has been an accumulation over time, rather than the whole system being bought at once. Thanks. I honestly didn't expect anybody to be looking at it so hadn't bothered!

How do you like the monitor? Was thinking about grabbing the BenQ (maybe two)
