Hey i have been waiting a long a$$ time to do this

Why i chose these parts

CPU: For lower heat and faster single cores for older games. I wish i saved up a bit more to get an ocable part

Motherboard: I just wanted something that worked, i was rushing it and i got an AMD crossfire board instead of a SLI one. It does what is should do though and it has good quality sata connectors. I got an MSI-Z87-game motherboard that came in DOA and i rmaed it and had to pay for shipping to get my money back

RAM: Cheap does what it needs to do, planning to upgrade to 16gb

GPU: the sticker is not classy at all like the other MSI GPUs and the cooler is massive but this thing is a tank It's not loud at all either but it does run pretty hot at around 90 Fahrenheit at idle. I think i made a long term mistake buying this but it is what it is. Also this might be the case or the psus fault but the power connectors being on top of the card because it pushes against the window.

PSU: Its pretty annoying how thick the sleeves are though, cable management is a pain and the cpu cable couldn't reach the motherboard outlet through the back of the case so i had to route it through the front. I got this part DOA and rmaed it but i still payed 15 bucks for shipping on a piece that was sent broken to me.

Case: This thing looks awesome, its sexy, small and cheap just like i like'em

HDD: I wanted an SSD but i was my wallet was too stretched so i went with 1 terabyte, im not kicking myself though, i have installed all my games and the pc boots up in 20-30 seconds and i have tons of space left

Optical: originally didn't have one but i said why not? I used it for burning music

Monitor: I knew i would have this thing for a long time so i tried not to skimp out the best i could, it has a 1ms response time and its 1080p, its great for my part choice

So in all i had TWO DOAS ON MY FIRST build. Took me 3 months and 130 dollars to fix it all.

Hey the good looking guy in the pictures is Mo im 15 when i built this, the other hairy thing is my brother Yousef Polo the Dell Inspiron 570:

AMD Athlon II x2 250 somedellmotherboard 6gigs of 1033 ram 1 terabyte of HDD Sapphire Radeon HD 7750 1920x1080p monitor (they had to make it look appealing somehow)

And this is it: the product of 4 years of research and hoarding

The price at the end was about 1150$

Parts i have gotten after i purchased the PC: Logitech G430 (which has the crappiest mic in existence for a 75 dollar headset) TP-Link 16port 10/100/1000MB/s switch (for lan party a bunch of friends were supposed to do, never panned out)

But i will upgrade parts in the future because i got a job i'm putting these on the table:

-i7? -Corsair Water Block cpu cooler -2 more sticks of ram for 16gigs total -an external 2-4 Terabyte drive for backups and videos (done) -a keyboard with anti-ghosting

Part Reviews

I think this is the weakest part of my system, i will probably upgrade to an 4690k and overclock it, and give this one to my younger brother when he decides to build his own.

Why i dont like it: it lags when i play Rome Total War maxed settings with huge units and 2 players! (keep in mind this game is from 2004.) It lags to 20 frames /s.

Boots up windows 8.1 in 20 seconds (crazy improvement from my old pc) But getting onto my desktop and booting steam takes longer than getting to my password screen, it might be normal but i don't get it.

great looking case, tons of room for extra fans and radiators,

Power Supply

Mine came in DOA, i couldnt figure out why my pc wasnt booting as i had had a person check the psu to test it. It was probably me banging it around or something but it costed me 90 bucks to get another guy to look at it and tell me it was broken.

It doesn't make me ice cream, but it does do everything else

cpu cooler please

ToDefeatYou 1 Build 1 point 48 months ago

are you asking what cpu cooler he's using or asking him to get an aftermarket one? Thats the stock cpu cooler that comes with the cpu. Id suggest the owner of this build to get an aftermarket cooler. some noctua would do very very good.

Eh, its pretty bad in the summer, but the temps arent bad for a short term cpu

i definitely plan to upgrade cooler and cpu for the long term

IMojoe134 submitter 1 Build 1 point 48 months ago

Hey! Yeah i noticed my cpu getting pretty hot, im not going to overclock and i don't really think i can since this is a locked cpu. I am looking at something cheap to keep the temperature down to expand it's life. I am thinking about the Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo cooler but my mother and father are pretty annoyed at how much money im spending

PESTILANCE 1 Build 1 point 48 months ago

i would only get that one if your going air cooling cause its cheap and very good

IMojoe134 submitter 1 Build 1 point 38 months ago

uh... its stock intel

it comes in the cpu box

One thing that i'd like to ask about is how to cool my gpu down, i am not going to water cool it, is the only other way to put fans on the top of the case?

malymilo 4 Builds 1 point 48 months ago

Could you do some cable management?

IMojoe134 submitter 1 Build 1 point 47 months ago

haha yeah i got really excited when i booted it up and i just threw the sides on

broman349 1 point 46 months ago

Question: How many fan ports does this mobo have? I am looking into buying this mobo for myself.

IMojoe134 submitter 1 Build 1 point 46 months ago

3 of them, but you can use your powersupply to supply power directly to the fans without connecting the fans to the motherboard

gentleman_mango 1 point 38 months ago

+1 for INCREDIBLE cable management. X3
