Description

Built for gaming @ 1440p/144Hz and as a dual monitor media machine.

For the price, I'm extremely happy with the result:

  • I was able to achieve the aesthetic I aimed for.

  • It's COMPLETELY silent when not under load -- you can't even tell it's on.

  • Despite the fact that I'm air cooling, I was able to get a stable CPU overclock of 4.6GHz.

  • Its real world performance is phenomenal.

NewEgg had a flash deal. They sold out within hours so I was lucky to grab one.

Take my upvote for your CPU cooler and case choices.

Fractal Design really makes beautiful and functional cases. They are extremely flexible. I'm using a Define R5 in my current build along with the same cooler. I can't say enough good things about either part.

Any trouble with the NZXT lighting kit? I was worried after reading all the post about it shorting but followed a good recommendation on Amazon to protect the PCB with electrical tape.

Hey, I'm trying to confirm that the True Spirit 140 Power will actually fit in the R4, because it exceeds the published spec of 170mm (at 171.3mm according to Thermalright). Did you have to make any modifications to get it to fit, or is it bumping the window?
