What's this used for?

Workstation board, so I hope it's a rendering rig. With multiple GPUs for accelerating more than one application or running a shietload of monitors!

If it's a gaming rig...I will be sad :(

The gaming boards dont have any features that I wanted/needed.

I have an external sound solution so SupremeFX was a waste.

I will never run Wifi so that was a waste.

This has the same PLEX chip for dual 16x SLI that the gaming boards do.

Same overclocking potential

The i210 Nics were something i wanted for virtualization.

Also its way cheaper than the VI Extreme

Great build; should be great for rendering. And also gaming ;) if you so wish. That thing could run anything triple monitor like a breeze

btw why do you need 3 120 fans? 2 140 fans would be so much better.

Same CFM(For 3x 120 or 2x 140) according to Corsair but they get air lower down in the case by the video cards, which is needed since this video card cooler type does not suck air out of the case.

Will probably be watercooled by years end.

Did you feel the need to install a bottom dust filter out of interest? my new build will be very similar (minus 1 classified & i5 over i7)

I'm doing a similar build. Is 860 watts enough? I have 2 choices: 1. AX860i 2. AX1200i

Good but not to be honest.

The monitor is way to much and is only a 60hz which underpowers the full potential of the 780's I recommend you get something with 120hz.

For the amount spent on this its a waste and could of been spread out better from that one monitor. Could of gotten 2x or 3x monitors with that cash that are better.

Those 2x 780's are overkill if this is just a gaming rig could of gotten cheaper ones and still gotten the same thing out of the build.

1600p strains it pretty well, especially with RAM.

Rome 2 pulls well over 2Gb of RAM.

Eagerly awaiting Asus 39" 4k monitor. Probably will jump to 3x SLI at that point.

There isn't any 2560x1440/1600 that got to 120Hz/114Hz
