Description

I WILL UPDATE THE LIST WITH MY NEW SETUP AT THE 20TH OF JANUARY OR THE 1ST OF FEBRUARY

Welcome to my first build!

Ive been a part of the PCMR for about a year now. So let me give you some backstory.

First, I started with a old prebuilt PC, with a 8 Core AMD processor(Very good), and a GT 710 GPU(Basically worth 5 dollars.). So I started upgrading it, first, more ram. Next, a gpu(No more 800x600 Call of Duty!), then a cpu and cooler. And now most recently, a watercooler and brand new case! I basically kept the motherboard and a hard drive(which crashed once :()

I get a solid 120 fps on csgo(I limit it to 60 and play on a low resolution because imma professional :)), 50-80 on Black Ops 3 on high settings, 50-60 on Infinite Warfare at medium, and an amazing 10 on minesweeper

Part Reviews

CPU

Great and powerful cpu for the price, would recommend It to anyone who has at least a 240mm Watercooler

Motherboard

Amazing motherboard, a builders dream.

Memory

Its great ram, nothing else much to say.

Storage

Insane boot time and survived a fire and it still worked! 6 stars / 5 stars

Video Card

Was decent for the price back in mid 2016(when I bought it) I would recommend it anymore though :( (get a 1060 instead)

Case

Holy cow where do I start, Amazing looks, great cable management, just amazing.

But, 240mm coolers where a little confusing to install, but me and my dad figured it out ;)

I would recommend this case to anyone who asks

Power Supply

Horrible, set my pc on fire.

Monitor

Great monitor for the price

Keyboard

Amazing keyboard. So much customization and great ergonomics.

Mouse

This mouse is amazing, but has an odd shape. I would recommend going to best buy to test it out. If you like the shape, then this is the best mouse on the market

Ok, so obviously I really like this build, see a few of mine, but I have a few suggestions and questions. First question is was the 9370 the prebuilt CPU or was that optioned by you. If optioned for a few more dollars the 9590 would have been the better, by a slight amount, option. Neither enjoy much of an overclock without LN2 as they are already overlocked processors themselves. Next question is why a 1060 over a 970?. Yeah the 1060 is newer and more ram and faster clock but those 970's especially in SLI which by the way is one of my suggestions to you, really rock even with the infamous 3.5g of fast ram and .5 of slower ram scandal. That being said because of that they have crazy discounts and can be picked up quite cheap. The ram concern is not an issue. Again, see some of my builds. Next is a suggestion. 2 x 8gb 2133 or higher ram, whatever your board can O.C. too (see owners manual) your processor natively supports 1866. The increase will be noticeable and help higher end video cards in certain situations. Next is a 21:9 monitor. That is the sweet spot resolution monitor for those 970's and processor combo and work magic together. Gsync if you can afford it if not a Free Sync one will work it will be locked at 75hz though. Finally I really like your setup. The white and purple look really good together. Game on my friend.

1.The 9370 was a gift from my dad 2.I recommend a gtx1060 to "future proof" the pc. 3.I didnt realize that! Thanks for letting me know! 4.Im looking into upgrading my monitor 5.Thank you so much! Tomorrow or the next day my new desk will come in and my setup will look amazinh!

Or you could repost the build and call it Apollo V3

But that would mean Apollo V2 only lasted a day ;)

Apollo V1 was what i called my pc after i upgraded my gpu, now that it basically has a "makeover" i think it was an appropriate time to change it to v2

Nice build! I highly recommend some 140mm thermaltake riing fans behind that the tinted front panel. looks amazing. I recently bought the 5.25" bay for this case and got the Kingwin FPX-003 fan controller since you can have the front panel on and see the temperature reading through the front panel. Very unique! Warning though,I had to shave a little off the sides of both 5.25 drive accessories I installed so that I could push them back further and fit on the front panel.

Pretty sure you're gonna need more than 300gb of space. Also, would have went for a gtx 1060, the 24" 144hz acer monitor, and fast ram... that also lights up(Corsair vengeance LED 3000mhz)
