This is my new personal rig build. First thing first, not all this was purchased, alot of it was stuff i had laying around, and recycled parts from my old build. This build is awesome, super quiet, and has so far run everything at 1080p maxed out no problem. I will update with OC benchmarks when i get some time, lol. Comments welcome.
CPU: I was going to get a i5, but go big or go home right? lol
Cooler: First thing first, the stock fans that come with this cooler are awful. just terrible, and idk who at corsair thought including these junk fans was a good idea, but whatever. I just swapped them out for Noctuas.
MB: I only use ASUS MB's on my personal systems, matches the red theme i got going on.
Memory: Leftovers from the old build. I've had this memory for a while, just keeps working, so i will replace it when it dies.
SSD: I've had this SSD since they came out, no issues, super fast, go buy one now.
Video card: I'm, at heart, a AMD fanboy, so i had to represent somewhere in my system. Also, matches red theme.
Case: Needed something silent, and this fit the bill. I like the Fractal cases too, however just a lil bland for my taste, but thats me. I like to show off my PC, and their is nothing flashy about a black box, lol.
PSU: I only use SeaSonic PSU's for mu personal rigs. Cleanest power on the market. Recycled from old build.
Tell me what you think, I'm thinking about adding a extra 290x and upgrading the PSU. Then i could use my tower as a oven, lol.
Update 2/1/15: So i swapped out the case for the new R5, and upgraded the PSU getting ready for the second 290x. I was having heat problems with the H440, i just couldn't get enough fresh air in it, so i swapped out to the R5, and what a nice case.
Case: Wow, this R5 is awesome. Tons of cooling options, not the quietest thing ever, but nice. If your on the fence about buying one, just add it to cart, you wont be disappointed.
PSU: Ok, lets start by saying I know its overkill. Got it. However, I picked it up for only $139.99, so calm down. I only run Seasonic in my personal rigs, so why not.
So... Next is a second 290x, and a 1440p Freesync monitor when they come out. I'm stoked personally. Tell me what you think, always welcome feedback.
