Description

I built my first PC earlier this year (March) and it was a good primer for me to start planning my second build as my kids were starting to take over the PC.

I decided to donate the first build to the kids taking out the critical higher end parts and getting a little more toned down stuff. Bought them an EVGA GTX 950 GPU, Corsair 450 PSU, 8 GB of Crucial RAM.

As I wait for my step-up program from EVGA to call, I'm using the GTX970 for the time being until I get my GTX 1080. I'm currently running triple 24" 1080P monitors on this GPU and it's been fine for the gaming that I do (mainly Project Cars and Assetto Corsa).

This build was so nice, working in an ATX sized case and motherboard was a treat. The only challenging part is the cable management on the other side of the EVOLV case as there's very little room so you have to make sure the cables are as flat as possible or the case door will not close properly.

I think the only upgrade I'll do in the near future are some higher performance fans. The stock fans that come on the AIO Corsair cooler is loud as heck when it ramps up during gaming. The stock Phanteks fans are not bad at all when it ramps up.

I'll add more photos as I can get better pictures.

EDIT: I do remember what I want to do next. Sleeved cables!! I do not like the ketchup and mustard cables.

Very nice looking build! Good choice in MB company. I love my Asus board! Good choice in graphics card, I hope to have my hands on a 1080 soon.

Nice build, but I have a question. I have a very similar water cooler in that being the h115i and I was wondering how I could change the Rgb lighting on the block. If you could provide any steps or links to downloads for it it would be much appreciated.

download the corsair link app from their site. It will have that feature where you can go in and change the lighting on the water block

That setup is so nice. Ever thought about submitting it to techsource setup wars, randomfrankp room tour project or swashin pimp my setup cause that would be one nice entry.

Thank you. I'm not worthy compared to some of those setups that they post up. I am kinda proud that I made my own monitor stand though. Ideally I would get a triple monitor mount to get it elevated so it looks clean.
