Description

This is the gaming rig i am currently Using. I was building this over 3 months But i lost and recently regained a job in that period of time so there were some budget decisions made cuz i NEEDED to get a new pc as my last one had a random surge and fried nearly all the components except for the Hard drive and the cd drive.

Cpu- This was taken over the i5 that i had originally wanted cuz i could not afford a dedicated card at the time And to be honest I cannot complain. It performed well and is a Real quad core I got fps in gw2 of about 29-35 on mid settings, and i could play far cry 3 with it as well although i had to turn the settings down quite a bit. and its not to shabby at rendering or editing videos ether. Also it overclocks very well with the Geminll M4 got it up to 4.3 stock voltage Running at 48C under load. But having said that i am planning on upgrading it in a months time To a I5 4k Series Cpu now that my money problems are over, and handing this trusty old thing to my mom so she can have a computer to play around with.

Motherboard- This thing is awesome more sata6gps than u can shake a stick at, and lets me run my ram at a steady 1866, plus the Graphical user interface bios are amazing ,complete with oc genie, and the combo deal i got from micro center I really couldn't ask for more.

Ram- OK i kinda splurged a bit when i went with this ram But the cpu runs better with faster memory and i liked the way this ram lit up in orange(my favorite Color). Plus i got it on sale For 60 bucks for 2x4gb sticks.

Hard Drive-Leftover from the Burnt out pc This is a very trusty drive although i gotta say down grading from a ssd the times it takes to load are defiantly noticeable. But its fast for the price i got it 47$ at micro center on sale.

Video Card-This is a temporary upgrade for my System with it i can play gw2 maxed at 1080p 45-60 fps. Also i can render videos faster and do some minor game design a little bit better. I mostly got it for the never settle bundle Got bio shock inf, Tomb raider, Far cry3 Blood dragon, and got lucky at micro center and got Crysis 3 all free ,games i would have gotten otherwise so i basically got this Gpu for free. I am planning on upgrading this to a 670 so i can get the performance ive been craving and to get metro last light for free too =) I WILL MAX MY GAMES OUT SOMEDAY lol.

Case- To be honest I just liked the fact i could get a 30 dollar white case with cable management. I'm probably going to get a BitFenix BFC-PRO-300-GGWKG-RP Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Prodigy Vivid Green simply because i like it. And it will look awesome with the orange leds.

PSU- I like the silver stone brand of modular psu's there trusty and they last plus this ones 80plus bronze for 75 bucks YES SIR ill take that.

CD/dvd- Past proof cheap yeah i got it cuz it was left over.

Upgrades- In semi order I5 4k cpu+mobo, ssd drive, 670 or equivalent Might go for the new 770 but there's no gaming deals on it yet, The Bitfenix case as well but i will buy a water cooler when i get the case. Will take suggestions on ssd drives im looking for something with like 256gb so i got some storage for my games and such and suggestions on a graphics card would be appreciated too also suggestions on a smaller Water cooler that would fit the case i am currently looking at.

How are you liking the case? I'm thinking of using it in a build for my sister, and I wanted to know if it had at least okay cable management, good aesthetics, etc.

How are you liking the Gigabyte Radeon HD 7790 1GB? Any problems? Thinking about picking this up on my next build.

Hi, which settings do you have to get 45-60 fps in GW2? I have a R9 270X 2GB OC edition and I have 30 fps with 1080p+High settings in Lion's Arch!

what cpu are you using that seams kinda low but i turn off aa cuz aa is worthless in 1080 and above and you dont notice it and all it does is take up resources for no visual effect.

I'm have a FX8350 running on a Sabertooth FX990. I will check the AA settings. How many fps do you get in Lion's Gate trade center?

MMMM that is curious i know the 5800k has a little better single treaded performance but not by much also mine is overclocked to 4.5 as well if you think that would make a difference hit me up on here if your having issues. In LA my fps will hover between 35 to 42 depending on how many ppl are there. But everywhere else is shoots up to 45-60 depending on were im at.
