Took me a while to get my card but today it finally arrived. My plan was to build something for VR which is my next step.
CPU: I overclocked this build to 4.6ghz at 1.31v but I couldn't go any further even when raising the voltage to 1.45. Oh well.
GPU: Overclocked to 2100mhz so far, running bench and will see if I can go up further. Benching with 3dmark
I know the psu is not superior but considering I got it for $66 I am happy I saved some money, it's working perfectly.
For my monitor I am still using my old Q270 yamakasi catleap at res 2540 x 1440 Future plan is to get curved monitors but saving costs right now because vive or another vr unit is more important to me.
I've thrown everything except VR games at this build and it runs them smooth as butter.
The motherboard needs to be RMA'd, very unhappy about that. Seems one pci slot (top) is broken on arrival, the gpu didn't work. I really don't want to send it in right now and might just extend the rma expiry. Really unhappy because the price of the motherboard should justify a premium product.
Since I'm on a 1Gbps connection I also purchased the TP-Link AC3200 router at $180 (saved money) and I have the wifi in another room, no loss of speed in a congested wifi area.
-Overclock gpu and bench all day -Buy vive
-Send in motherboard for RMA (ughh)
I thought I might need a sound card but surprisingly the Realtek hd is good enough for the hd598 headphones and my logitech 7.1 speaker system.
Will upload photos with all the shiny lights later
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/13397319? Still optimizing though
No complaints, wish it overclocked a bit more because I couldn't get it passed 4.6ghz stable. Possibly better in the near future when I upgrade wc to custom or maybe delid.
Surprisingly good considering the price. Could have went custom but this is good enough. Just had to replace the fans which did add to the total cost but it was worth it.
Would be perfect if I wasn't forced to RMA it right after buying, top pci slot broken (if you look at my picture you will see the defect inside the slot). The features are great, just the big downside is having to send the motherboard in when my build is finished.
Good price for a fast drive. Working at optimal speeds.
No complaints yet, I know it's seagate but the price was good.
Stunning card, got a good batch it seems as it lets me overclock it to 2100MHz
Expensive but worth it. Not as heavy as my old haf932 and looks beautiful. Lots of space and options to work with. Cable management is perfect with large space in the back for cables and the included accessories give you the ability to do everything with the case. In the back it has nice slots of ssds, the doors come off without any screws and the large window is amazing for showing off your rig.
For the price and company, no complaints. Only wish they sleeved the 24 pin and gpu power cables all the way to the plastic part so that the different colors wouldn't be exposed when building a clean look. Also not a lot of options with the modular cables. If I end up adding one more ssd I will probably be forced to buy some kind of cable or extension.
Awesome fans, quiet, slightly overpriced. Best fans for the corsair cpu wc solutions like the gtx h110i. I bought 3 of these.
