Description

Needed a new PC for processing photos in Photoshop CC and video from my Canon 80D. At the same time, I wanted something to play the latest games on full at 1080P at least (Modern Warfare, BFV, Far Cry 5, etc.). So far, the machine is running like an absolute champ.

Was worried about the Kraken from some of the reviews I've read, but NZXT CAM software issues turned out to be much blown out of proportion. I've had no problems at all with CAM. The cooler itself works great as my 9700k never gets above 50C under full load.

The NZT H710 case is very solid and has plenty of room inside, but the instructions are downright awful. It comes with plenty of hardware (screws and bits) but you are on your own figuring out what is used where. The top removable/reversible radiator mount is also a bit confusing to mount correctly. The tiny diagram in the manual is confusing.

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

Was worried about the Kraken from some of the reviews I've read, but NZXT CAM software issues turned out to be much blown out of proportion. I've had no problems at all with CAM. The cooler itself works great as my 9700k never gets above 50C under full load.

During the install I was concerned when attaching the back plate and standoffs to the motherboard as there was a lot of play when they were screwed in all the way. Once the pump was mounted and tightened down, everything snugged up just fine.

Cables are a bit of a pain to route without looking odd. Wish there was only one connector and it was neater looking.

Case

The case is very solid and has plenty of room inside, but the instructions are downright awful. It comes with plenty of hardware (screws and bits) but you are on your own figuring out what is used where. The top removable/reversible radiator mount is also a bit confusing to mount correctly. The tiny diagram in the manual is terrible. Looks great when completed though and has good airflow with the stock fans.

How’s this gpu been treating you? This specific model

Very happy with it, I wanted something simple looking with minimal RGB that just runs well and it does exactly that. Modest overclock out of the box, will eventually push it more myself but no need right now. I'm running 1080P/144hz, but it runs everything I can throw at it with all settings maxed. Temps mid 50's under full load.

Heavy card, will probably get a GPU brace to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the reply, reasons I asked is because I wanted the nvidia 2070 super gpu but it’s out of stock so this is kinda like my second choice. I will also be using a 144hz monitor since I’ll be streaming.

Originally was going to get a ROG STRIX, but just couldn't justify the price difference. This is a great card especially with the current $20 rebate and COD included.

How the hell did you fit x62 on top I have z390 ultra and it wouldn’t go down because heat sink is to big

The Ultra seems to have larger heatsinks than the Pro Wifi. I had no issues fitting the X62 at all, but I'm only using 2 RAM sticks. Closest slot to CPU might be an issue is that is being used.
