Description

Hi guys. Sorry for the bad pic quality i don't have the steadiest hand. But anyway... this build is for my dad's work. He is a CPA and uses a lot of multi-threaded programs running at the same time so that's why i went with a xeon over an i5 because an xeon is hyper-threaded. For the gpu i used a a radeon 5450. I picked this because, 1.) this model of xeon doesn't have a igpu, 2.)My dad's boss bought monitors that only have vga port and a power input so... 3.)they don't do graphic intensive work they do cpu heavy work. that's why there is a dvi to vga adapter in the list. Also sorry About the cable management, the N200 doesn't have great cable management options such as the mobo tray has a little piece of metal coming off the back which sicks the cables away from the mobo tray and towards the side panel. And with the cx's thick cables i couldn't put the side panel back on so i took out the 24-pin mobo main power cable and just routed it through the case as shown in the pics. but the cable doesn't block a lot of airflow so i guess it's fine.\

By the way i'm 14.

Nice build.

The 1230v2 is still viable in the work space, nice choice

I would have tried to go the haswell route instead of ivy bridge and gotten a xeon with integrated graphics. Other than that the choices look fine

i went the ivebridge route just because it was cheaper at microcenter then getting the haswell 1230v3 and the and i didn't go for intergadited graphics because the next available xeon with graphics cost $50 more so in the end this was cheaper

in your description you said you went with the xeon over the i5 because its hyper-threaded, so is the i5 ;)

Anywho for a work build its not to bad, decent part choices cable management could be better even in this case, perhaps use some zip ties to clean'er up a bit.

+1 from me

Please show me a current hyper threaded i5 that is not a mobile cpu.

Desktop i5s are not hyperthreaded...
