Hey guys, Since 2014 I always wanted a custom looped PC. At the time I had a FX 8350 with a 650 Ti. On September 6th 2014 I decided to make my dream came true and started ordering custom loop parts. Since then I've been collecting parts and today was the big day. The day I got the last parts and finished it. I originally intended to go with a Caselabs case but since they no longer make white SMA8s I decided to go with the 900D. Cheaper too :D. I got the 980 Ti 2 days after it came out and I still love it. I got the waterblock in September and overclocked it to 1500/7200. I have some problems getting the memory higher than that. Maybe I didn't install the termal pads properly. I got the 8350 in April 2014 and I still think it is a great CPU and will keep it at least 6-7 more months until Zen comes out. It doesn't bottleneck the 980 Ti that bad at 1080 and not at all at 4K. Only 4.5 because the motherboard's VRM cooling sucks. I might get a waterblock later. The reason the memory is so odd is because I had a 2x2 kit on my old E8400 build and decided to re-use it for this build to save some money. I personally don't care that much about silence so I got the HP edition fans and run them at 100% all the time. I will also add more storage later. The next upgrades are gonna be a 4K monitor (still running 1080) and more storage and then maybe an Intel/Zen CPU. Thanks for reading.

Overall nice build! I'm in the same boat as far as CPU goes (8150) and with Zen/Skylake refresh around the corner. Are the timings on your ram still the same? Massive case as well, at least you are taking advantage of the extra room! Love the colors too! +1

Very nice build, and nice for you to join the train of those who wait for Zen (that is to see what happens, I'm still not sold on it). I'd like to do something similar, just in a case not really made for watercooling XD if I get around to do something I'll post it.

More better quality pictures please!!!

This could be featured or something! The build looks very clean so good quality pictures would really be appreciated!

Sweet build! I love those FX chips. They are like old locomotives that just keep chugging down the tracks.

What sorts of temp problems are you having with the vrms? I'm just curious because I'm running the same UD5 Gigabyte mobo with my 8350. I clock it to 5.0 on 1.5 volts and the mobo temps never get over 50 celsius. I actually went with that board because it has a pretty heavy duty heat sink. Also, I run the newer UD5 R5 on a different machine (the htpc) with an 8320e, a mild overclock (4.0), and the the temps are not a problem either. I'm just saying...before you go putting water blocks on those vrms, perhaps there is a problem elsewhere?

Anyway, love the build. :-)

Thanks. The VRM temps gets to like 80c. Stress testing is fine but once I start gaming it freezes after about 5-10m

Nice man, I'm sure you'll enjoy this build. AMD +1

Great build! That color scheme really pops. Did you buy the sleeved cables or do them yourself?

CalinStelistu submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

I bought them from Icemodz.com

Diox 1 Build 1 point 38 months ago

Beautiful build, OP.

May I ask why an FX chip over intel? I love this build either way just curious.

Also I have a 1 gig 650 and I love it, how'd you like your 650 ti?

CalinStelistu submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

Because the 8350 is better than the 6600k for multitasking and back when I bought it I couldn't afford an i7 I kinda liked it but my new 980 ti is about 6x faster

Diox 1 Build 2 points 38 months ago

To each their own, if your happy I'm happy for you!

Hope your loop treats you well!
