Description

Built this PC for 2014 mainly because I got tired of charging my laptop which battery life is not very good. I also felt having a powerful, reliable desktop PC will be essential for my time at uni and beyond. In addition to that, I burn a lot of CDs hence the two CD drives which I will try to get to work simultaneously. The parts I chose were within my budget so I went with those hoping that the result would be a fast PC to use for uni. Specifically for programming and designing websites etc. I also plan on dual-booting windows with the Fedora OS so it should be a powerful PC!

There is no graphics card because I simply don't game. Integrated graphics actually person really well for me. I must say that the 840 Evo is super fast and windows boots up almost instantaneously (17 seconds to be precise). The core i5 haswell is great! And the g.Skill ripjaws is awesome. I'm really happy with the parts I chosen and well worth the money! Had no problems building the computer So, feel free to look at the pictures hope you enjoy!!

Nice solid build. I personally don't approve of no gpu but I am a gamer so for your purposes it makes sense. I don't understand why you put two cd readers in due to the fact that most software is now downloadable via internet and 1 Cd drive is enough. Other than that nice build and I hope it serves you well.
