You spent 4.5k on a rig with a single 1080p monitor?

while I agree that he could have allocated his resources better its still HIS build. Also dual channel memory is still good and he might be planning on getting a second monitor to use with that killer GPU.

OK what? Why did you buy Dual-Channel Memory, when the platform supports Quad-Channel.

Also this stinks of 'I want to say I'm an enthusiast'.

I was under the impression that 4 sticks of something equal quad-channel, since that refers to the memory controller and not the DIMM.

Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Are you joking? He has 4 sticks, it will run as Quad Channel..

You don't need to buy quad channel ram to have quad channel.. Just like you can buy 2 single channel ram sticks and run it in dual.

Saw this on /r/pcmasterrace. Its a nice build, but for the same price I would've gotten http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2EHRi

Fantastic build but if I was to build something this fantastic I would definitely go with a 1440p monitor, maybe even 4k if the money was there.

Great build! +1, while viewing builds here I realize that there´s no perfect rig for some people, they always have something bad to say, if don´t have a high end graphics card... "why you don´t go for a high end gpu"... if you have the high end gpu... "to play at 1080p?" come on people don´t be that jealous, if you can´t afford something like that, deal with it.

4300 dollars for a PC I expect a bit more tbh...If you're going to use a $200 hard drive and $360 worth of RAM a description is most helpful.

Might want to get the swiftech 220 or the corsair h100i instead of the h110. The swiftech 220 is the best but a good bit more expensive (but looking at you build that doesn't seem like much of a worry). The h100i is quieter, more powerful and looks better than the h110 but still not quite as good as the 220. Otherwise pretty killer build!
