Hello everyone! I'm sorry about some of the images appearing blurry. They were taken with my phone camera. This is the Battle Box, my first PC build.
Origins: I'm a high school sophomore whose friends all have either homebuilt or custom made gaming PCs. When I asked what kind of computer I should get, the majority said, "You should build your own computer". So I saved up for nearly a year and this rig is the end result. It's designed for gaming, light video editing, and generic use.
Future Plans: 1- Another 8GB RAM; 2- New CPU Cooler; 3- Cleaning up the Atrocity that is my Cable Management
1/17: Replaced C7 with Corsair H60 that I received over the holidays
I wanted a processor that was not only new but also efficient and powerful. And so far, the 6600K has been all three!
It's a good entry-level CPU cooler, but the wires beneath the heatsink kept brushing up against the fan whilst turning, which caused an annoying "buzz". Despite being able to fix that, the cooler is still quite, but other than that, it does its job well.
I have to take a star off because I couldn't get my CPU cooler's lower mounting stands to fit in all the way. Aside from that it's great, and BIOS was fairly easy to navigate.
RAM is RAM, and it works. I chose Crucial because a few friends of mine recommended the brand, and I can see why.
I'm very pleased with this SSD. Windows boots up incredibly fast, and since I have my games on it as well, I can connect to games faster than my friends.
Looks great, works great, fits in my case, the whole package! I definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking for a budget GPU under $200.
The case has an eye-catching design, and cable management was easy, but I do wish there was another cut-out above the center of the motherboard, but height restrictions prevent that. Overall, it was a great case to build inside.
I've never used a mechanical keyboard prior to buying this one, but after using this for the past month, I can't see myself using anything other than Cherry MX Red or Silent.
I'm not a fan of Razer(the complete opposite of some of my friends), but after I felt this mouse in hand, I knew this would work for my hand.
