took me total of 5 months to complete the whole build. I had to buy some of the parts abroad due to the availability that im stuck with here the Philippines.
The rig purpose is primarily for gaming on 4k
Nice, love seeing air coolers! +1
Apart form that SSD, this looks great!
whats so bad about the ssd
It is the worst one you can buy. It uses a junk controller and is known to be slower than a standard HDD after you use it for a bit and get some data on it.
oh, had no idea thank for that tip
This is truth, they pulled the plug on it.
lol ssd killed it huh?, i told you its kinda on the budget aspect lmfao
But for like $5 more you should have had a substantially better SSD that won't be as slow as a HDD in 6 months.
4k with dual 970s? Experienced any dropouts yet?
what u mean with dropouts mang?
Stutters. Know to happen when the 970 touches it's 32-bit-memory-controlled 0.5GB VRam; multiplied in SLI.
dont want to be rude but you should of gotten 980ti instead of two 970's
I'm guessing that was because it was put together over 5 months. I've done the same thing myself before.
i wanted that, but for me the sli setup looks more appealing. and PS am not tryna go higher, cant afford two 980tis lmfao
looks above all :) i like the way you think
yea dude, im spending that ton of money might as well make it look good
Definitely 980 Ti if he just built it, but if you already have a 970 or two, no point in switching to a 980 Ti because most likely you'd be loosing money and they are comparable in performance (SLI 970). plus for some reason, if you have a 144hz monitor, you can only hit that 144 fps in SLI, not a single card.
yep, at first only had a single 970. i just recently upgraded to the 2nd one
Hello fellow Filipino! Looks great! How's the 4k gaming going?
its good bra, just waiting on that 4k panel :)
if you didnt buy / sold cpu cooler and paste, you could fit 980ti in there
but ok dx12 wil hopefully make sli scale better
actually got the cooler and the paster for a lot cheaper, some of them are bought here locally in the Philippines.
Love the blue LED's with the white case! +1How has that case held up for cable management? Was thinking about getting that case, would you recommend that case?
This is not budget 4K
Budget 4K costs $700 (FX6300, R9 390, 8GB DDR3)
Either way, it's a decent build.
A budget is the amount of money someone is willing to spend. And besides, a 390 and an FX 6300 can barely play at 1440p.
Not true. I have a 290, i7 3770K, 8GB RAM and get FSX on max settings to run at around 40FPS. The FX-6300 is a step down, but will still be able to handle it, along with the fact that the 390 is great for 4K
But saying "BUDGET 4K" indicates that it is 4K on a low budget; I don't consider $2K a low budget. But hey, why should anyone, including me, give 2 ***** if the PC is good and can easily outperform a console? Just saying that I find his title quite deceiving.
my bad haha, lemme correct that. decent 4k set up :)
Okay, thanks! Because it is a good 4K setup. I have a 4K setup which costs less than this but probably doesn't perform nearly as well as 970 SLI
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/nW4cD3 is a list I came up with the capability to play most games in 4K. This is based off experience and research.
Tru dat. My friend who owns Skunkworks, Jr. (check in my saved part lists) has about 200+ mods and 4K/8K texture packs, and he averages around 80 FPS with Hairworks on, not a ton for a $7K PC
Not really. My 4K monitor (lol a TV) was under $400 and the PC is around $1500. I have a higher end PC, but you could do decent 4K gaming with the same display I have for around the entry price of an iMac... DOWN GOES APPLE LOL
nice rig kapatid!
how's your temps on the xigmatek dark knight ii?
i'm planning to get the frostbourne to cool a locked skylake also due to aesthetics
What leds u got in there
deepcool rgb strip bra
catch me with that in my build bruh
Nice and clean, +1.
actually i though about that too but i kinda went for the looks and the little horsepower advantage of the sli set up :)
Gold certified tier 2. Nothing wrong with that. Just can't count that look-argument in connection with a S340. ; )
For the looks you should've gone with a HX/HXi to compliment the blue Gigabyte Logo, but since you don't see it anyways...
yep, tier 2 is not that bad hehe, since i dont even OC that hardcore :)
for the price i cant go wrong with it, so far its not that bad :)
ty my dude
